Ok Guys..I just Bought my first MDX. It's a 2004, with just 39K miles.
Now, I already notice the MPG compared to my TL.
I have a few Questions for Y'all.....
What is the "Instantaneous Fuel Mileage" on the trip computer screen?
How can I used it so i can control my Mpg, or how does it affect my MPG?
Would a K&N Air Filter Help the car in any way?
Can I use Lucas Gas Treatment on the MDX?

I appreciate all the help I can get from Ya'll....
Thanks.....

The instantaneous mileage is just a rough approximation of your current fuel consumption. The only way it can influence your fuel economy is if you modify your driving habits to improve it - I know I have.

I have a K&N filter on my 01 MDX and I didn't notice any difference. Don't know about Lucas.

You definitely will notice the difference going from a car to an SUV, but that's not why you bought it, right?

Welcome aboard!

As dj says, if you pay attention to what the instantaneous meter is telling you it can lead to improved miles per gallon. Otherwise it is just decoration.

So, How do I use it? I don't know how....I see that thing going from 0 to 50 sometimes, and I just don't get it.
What the zero means? what 50 means?
How do I use it in order to get the best MPG?

The numbers indicate fuel economy in miles per gallon, so the higher the number, the more fuel efficient. Avoiding rapid acceleration, coasting to stop lights, keeping under the speed limit are some ways you can be more fuel efficient. It's beyond the scope of just one thread. Check out hypermiling if you're interested. Although some of the methods apply to hybrids, you can adapt them to our gas guzzlers.

So that means that I have to keep that meter as high as I can, the closest to 50, the more MPG I get right?
So, When I'm at a Stop light, and it's on zero, My MPG is pretty much crappy right?

+1.

You want to try to change your driving style that the bar hangs in the higher section longer. Best way to do this is by coasting. Yup, sitting at a light gets 0mpg. Always try to keep the car moving. After awhile it will become second nature and you wont have to look at it. The first few months it was hard to get use to.
