After months of research & searching, I've finally found the emblem that fits. Below are some pix that I would like to share with fellow MDXers. Enjoy.
Peace! |

| Very nice, is that a range rover sport emblem? |

Awesome! I'm jealous!
Sorry..:topic: Question for Lionspeed...
...any idea if 9006 bulb will fit in the 9005 socket? My brother bought me 2 RAYBRIG HB4 9006 5000k whitesonic instead of 9005 from Japan. I think 9005 has two prongs and 9006 has one. Does 2nd generation MDX has universal bulb socket?
I like to know before I open the box and get down on my knees... if not I will sell it to eBay. Thanks a lot |

| Good find. Now spill the beans. Where did you get it? |

Looks good. In fact, if I wasn't such an "expert" on MDXs and I saw your ride on the street, I'd think you were driving a 2010. Between the painted bumpers and Sport badge, it looks tight.
So yeah, were did you get it?

| Is that off a Ford? |

| Very nice! :D The emblem looks like Ford lettering, but I cant seem to find a picture of one. Wonder what it is. |

Looks like it's off a 1998 Explorer Sport, thought those letters looked familiar. In fact my last car was a 1998 Explorer Eddie Bauer.

| Totally unnecessary IMHO. Nice vehicle otherwise. |

I just love painted bumpers!!!!!!!!! Thinking of doing it on my aspen pearl white X as well. The only thing that holds me back is the fact that I will have to cover it with clear bra.
Sorry, but the sticker doesn't do much for me... |

Great pictures as always LS.
I thought you were a purist for the MDX...didn't you say NO BSM and NO fender guards(keep the line pure).
I think the BSM looks great myself and black is the only color I would put the fender guards on. They look horrible on silver IMO. |

| nice, acura should have these on all sports! but i wish the font of that badge would match. still cool. not sure about placement though. |

| Pics look great but I would want less badging on the X not more. $.02. And I could easily tell it is a Ford badge (or at least looks enough like a Ford badge) and I think it cheapens the exterior. But I'm not the one driving it so enjoy!:1: |

| Agree. Sweet looking ride but the badge has got to go. More is less in this case. I thought that even the SH-AWD badge from the factory was a bit excessive. |

Lion,
Do you still slather your X in Zaino CS?
I remember posts where you said you used it very thick and were happy with your results. |

So sorry fellas for not replying to all comments/questions... as to my busy schedule to blame. Thank you all nevertheless.
Human321, yes I still use CS & other Zaino products in conjunction.
Here is what I did for the first Zaino work-out.
Wash with Z7, then AIO w/ Z6
Next time, Z7, then Z5 then Z6
Next time, Z7, then Z8 then CS. Yes result is extremely thick & wet looking. I love it.
On the side notes, I love this KN filter (see pic) which makes a difference. As for my painted bumpers with 2 coats plastic promoter, 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of base & 4 coats of clear, the bumpers are still spotless after 4 months with 3,000 miles on. How do I explain this? It's sorta create a bouncing effect to the chips/rocks.
BTW, you guys hit it on the mark. The emblem was from 1998 Ford Sport brand new in OEM package. Date of purchase was on exactly 10 years ago. I guess they don't make these anymore. I will leave it on the MDX until boredom. |

I would love to see the K&N decals somewhere on the MDX. You know the one's that come in the box with the filters? Maybe on the rear side quarter windows?

Hey Lion,
Mind sharing with us your opinion of the K&N filter. Is there a difference in sound, gas consumption, and performance? |

Lionspeed.... Mind sharing guide on installation. I already bought the K & N filters a week after I got my MDX. but I do not know how to install the filter on the MDX  I always used K & N and there's really a big difference. Thanks |

Impressive add-ons & extraordinary photographs . Between the painted bumpers with front and rear garnishes and sport badge, it looks just right. May I ask what kind of camera & software to achieve this?

I admire Lion's creativity. Great job!
I like the sport emblem but I think it looks a little busy on the tailgate. If I had the choice I'd but it on the sides, maybe behind the front wheels. |

Wow! Looks awesome!
If you try and polish it a bit more it may turn invisible with all the scenery reflecting in the paint :p
Note to self: stop being a lazy a$$ and get your X properly washed and cleaned too! :) |

I'm going to hang a photo of this mirrored-MDX on the wall for inspiration - I have to drive a minimum of 18 miles of rough dirt road to go anywhere from my house, so I don't bother to wash my car much - in fact sometimes it doesn't get washed but once or twice a year, and only then if I am going to some event where I need to keep my clothes from getting dirty while getting in and out of the car. If I washed it in town it would be dirty by the time I reached home; likewise if I hand-washed it at home it would be dirty by the time I reached pavement.
And contrary to popular opinion, the best color to not show dirt is white! We have a pair of white MDXs ('05 and '08) in the carport here in our log cabin in the Arkansas wilderness... |

I agree.
It's the same reason I find it curious with some of the BMW guys - a much higher percentage prefer the "clean debadged" look happen to have the smaller badge numbers. While the M and the V8 guys are proud to show off the badges.

lol - I was thinking exactly the same thing - and who are they fooling by taping the badges over anyways ?
look at how lame the de-blinged exhausts are. |

Yeah, noticed that as well.
Funny coincidence is that I saw for the first time myself a debadged MDX today. |

| I can't find a good pic right now but the sport badge of the new toyota highlander is a close match to the Acura font as well. |

True.. while I didn't debadge my 328i, I removed the chromed and replaced with the shadowed version - the letters are jet-black like my car.. I may do the same to the MDX.. dunno yet :-) |

I'm with ya - the painted bumpers look excellent.. factory if I might add. I'd have never thought of doing that, but I now have a spring mod coming up *grin*
..the clear bra would still show the color, and keep it chip free, n'est pas? |

Great picture but try framing your picture from a bit closer to the ground. It will give you a bit more aggressive stance.
Not a bad attempt but I think it takes away from the cleanliness and the way the MDX was meant to be.
I'd prefer without the sport and also, it adds a bit of tackiness in my opinion. Especially since you have your bumper painted, it sorta takes away from the whole smooth and clean look.
Sorry, that was my 2 cents. :) |

| Lionspeed, I really like your new sport logo than the older one of yours. The font style even matches with the MDX type face. Looks really nice on your black MDX. Excellent. |

Good lord! Look at all the toys! I'm guessing it's more than a hobby?
I just started shooting. I have a Canon XT, Sigma 18-50 2.8, Canon 50 1.8 and a Canon 70-300.
Still saving my pennies for a speedlite and diffuser. Maybe in the new year. Sigh:o :o :o |
