| How to remove 04 MDX driver door panel ?

Hi all,
I'd like to remove the front door panel to access to the speaker.
I'd appreciate if somebody show me how to remove w/o breaking any locking tabs.

If I recall correctly, teh 2005 (and thus the 04) have speaker grilles that pop off of the door. Look for a small indent around the edge of the grille, and lever the grille off with a piece of smooth plastic or a screwdriver padded with tape.
The 07 and newer don't have this0 you have to remove the entire door panel to get to the speaker.
If you have to pull off the panel, I strongly suggest you buy teh Service Manual (abouit $90 after mailing), Or, you could do it without the manual, break something, and then buy the part and the manual at the same time. I usually use the later method. |

I'm planning to upgrade the factory speakers and by the way, looking into installing the remote starter before it's getting too cold. |

Well, I'd like to do it myself and if I can gather all info I need for the remote starter then I'll do this weekend since I'm still missing some info. Otherwise, it's going to be next weekend.

You can check out this link, somebody post pics for the remote starter that they installed for their MDX. It's not that detail but it's helpfull.

| Those instructions will help alot. I have a 2way remote starter/alarm on my subaru and had a shop install it. |
