Anyone have issue with the auto sensitivity setting for turning headlights on?

Seems when I set to high and sky is getting grayish just before dusk, it still does not turn on?

exact same issue here.. i complained to the dealer that even on highest sensitivity it still turns on about 20-30 minutes later than everyone else on the road -- he said this is "acura spec".. nothing they can do.. :(

That sucks the big one. What standard are we talking about? Guess lighting conditions in Japan is different than in North America!

Do you know where the light sensor for the headlights is? I know there is a light sensor at the base of the dash right in the middle. I am not sure if that sensor is used for the head lights. If it is, try using a small piece of window tinting to see if that helps. You may need to try different shades to get it just right, but if I was unhappy I would be willing to experiment a bit to get it right.

I used to get that issue for like the first month we had the X even with the settings set to turn on at the brightest daylight setting ... but then i tinted out the front windshield etc. also ...so it turns on perfectly now.

The sensor is on the top of the dash in the middle there somewhere...if you put you had over it the light will come on since you will block the sunlight to it...you can try this if you like ..get a small piece of tint or anything that you can stick that is see through with a slight tint to it and apply it over the sensor top... it will work just as normal but auto turn on the lights at a brighter light level.
