Like some of you here, I tend to park in a no-man parking hoping for no trouble whatsoever. It's usually safe & sound until
one day.... The ding (on middle of driver rear door) was an obvious cause by a door, about a size of a nickle with no crease & a measurable scratch of course.

Call several places for a paintless dent repair... all require a lengthen appointment with minimum $100 charge for 1st ding & initial fee.

Long story short, found this kit for $20. Gave it a try & the magic happened. The Evil Ding was gone! I love it.

Peace!

Wow, LS, glad it worked out for you! I saw one of those things being advertised in the past and I thought it was just a scam. In fact, I think this item was discussed in the Pilot forum as well and everyone wrote it off.

Good job, LS.

What I don't understand is though, why on earth these idiots decide to park beside you in the first place when you purposely park where nobody would possibly want to park because you're so far away from the entrance. I do this all the time too, but to no avail.

Then they park so close to you that they can't help it but to ding your car? I have numerous dings on my Pilot, but luckily, its body side moulding is so side that I haven't ended up with any actual body dings like yours, yet anyway.

I'm rather convinced that there are total a-holes out there who purposely park beside nice looking cars and manage to ding them without getting caught.

Good job LS ...a friend of mine used this before ..this sh*t works :29: ...normally these $19.99 crap things can't do anything ...but this actually works ...

Note though ...it works great on the type of ding LS has... if it's like a straight line and not a circular push in then it's not going to work that well ...it may take out a bit ...but it's probably still going to be seen.

That's awesome. I always thought it was a major gimmick. I also have two dings on the passenger side, one on the front door and one on the rear. Unfortunately, they are both on the crease that runs along the width of the door on the top half. I don't think this will work for that type of ding. I've considered calling paintless dent repair but it is expensive and I believe they drill a hole on the side to access the inside of the door. Maybe I should give this thing a shot.

Wow that's awesome.

Great job I must say! I'll have to give it a try as I have a slight ding on the RL. Who did it ? Me that's who! I opened the MDX door and slightly tapped the RL.....Hard to kick your own a$$.......Where did you buy this gadget?

Bought it on ebay, but saw a few of the same package at Pepboys couple weeks back. :)

I found that, it would be fun if you were to do 2 cars at the same time. Why? the waiting for the glue to dry is the most annoying part.

Just noticed yesterday that I managed to get a ding myself :3:

It's roughly the same size and in the same spot as yours but it also has a line-like addition on top. I'll give the Ding King a try (found one on eBay for $15) and will keep you posted with the results.
I'll owe you one big time if it works just as flawlessly :)

Try to follow the included instructions the best you can. Try not to use too much of black glue. The successful result DEPENDS on the amount of GLUE applied (you do not want to PULL any area other than your ding). It took total of 8 pulls for mine. Some might take over 10 pulls like on my lexus (depends on the thickness of the metal). Try to do it in warm weather otherwise the glue would not have enough heat when applying.

These are some advices that I can only think of at the moment. Take pictures if you can & keep us posted. Good luck.

Peace.

Forgot to add on picture (see illustration below).

Placing an additional of 2 pieces of cartboard wrap with soft papper towel or micro-fiber cloth to help distribute the PRESSURE point EVENLY when pulling. I think you get the idea right?
Hailo-
amazing blk x u have! nice work too!

I'm guessing that the black jell-like substance is the glue.

I'm wondering, how do you remove the glue once u're done pulling? Does it wash off, or peel off?
