Has anyone noticed the tiny tube inside the larger exhaust tube? Is this the actual diameter of the tube going through the muffler and the actual finishing tip is just asthetics?
Or is this tube some sore of replacement for an exhaust flap to control flow?
Just looks kinda funky when you stare down the barrel.. |

lol ..with the X on ...it's the fumes getting to him :p
It's tips on the end of a normal sized pipe muffler....that's how it is normally. Manuf. normally don't make true dual flow mufflers and even if they do the pipe diameter is not going to be over 3"-4" normally per down pipe so they still get the proper back pressure for the engine. |

That would be the actual piping coming off the muffler. The exhaust tip is just a decorative cover.
This is what it looks like without the exhaust tips on:

Take a look at the pics.. The tube I am refering to is not "coming off" the muffler, it is actually inside a larger diameter tube the goes through the muffler. If you look carefully, this small tube makes a bend at the very end.
Note: even if you cut off the finishing tip, it will not expose the smaller tube.. its way in there.
and no, I'm not standing here sniffing exhaust  |
