In my younger years, I always named my cars. My 1st car, an '88 Acura Integra, was named "Hiroko", whereas my father's car at the time -- an '86 Benz 560 SEL -- was named Marlene (Dietrich). My '90 Taurus SHO was named "Georgia" (built in, yep, Georgia), and my '97 E420 is named "Ingrid". As for the X, it's just "the Acura".
I guess I sort of outgrew the habit...

When we picked up the car and were driving home, I came up with the idea of giving it a funny name. So, I came up with a good stripper name for it as a joke.... and for some reason it has stuck.

Mainly because after almost 6 years my wife still has to ask me what kind of truck it is. In fact, last night she was ordering pizza at a place that will bring the pizza to your car in the parking lot. She told them her car is a "white Honda Acura". |
