| Does the VSA OFF button lit up?

| mine doesn't either. I do get an icon that lights up on the gauges though. |

| I checked mine too, doesnt light up at all. Only a light on the instrument panel. |

| if i remember correctly that is the botton by the key switch. if so, if i also remember i was looking in the manual and you have to be in 1st or 2nd gear to turn it off. i think it is for when you do not have good traction and need a little extra help |

| Thats the VTM 4 Lock. The VSA is on the left side of the gauges. |

VSA is Vehicle Stability Assist, which is basically traction and stability control all rolled into one.
As for when you should turn it off, the only time I can think of is when you need to get some wheel-spin, such as when rocking the vehicle back and forth, etc. Normally VSA will apply the brake to any wheel(s) that are spinning. Other than that I would think it's best to leave it on (the default) all the time.
