I want the power train being shown in the Honda Dual Note at the Tokyo Auto Show this week:
quote: Honda had four concept cars on display. The sleek looking Dual Note four-door sports car is powered by an Insight-type hybrid version of the Honda 3.5-liter V-6 engine.
What a hybrid system means is the power and torque of a larger engine with much better efficiency. For dreaming purposes, imagine an MDX with 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, with slightly better economy. The best thing about electric motors is they produce maximum torque at zero RPM, meaning great low-end grunt. |

| better mileage would definitely be a plus, even though I know we are already in the upper echelon for sport utes. |

I think that Hybrid engines are the future.
You could add a small electrice engine to any gasoline engine and improve fuel economy and long term reliability(less wear at stoplights). Heck, I saw an article in C & D that mentioned a Durango with a hybrid engine.:)

| I believe Dodge is working on both the Durango and a Ram. The Ram is called a "Contractor's Special" (or something like that) because it can power all the power equipment. |
