Hey all. I', trying to make the decision between the sport and the regular running boards. I love the sport on white and silver cars, but on darker cars it almost seem a little too flashy.
Does anyone have a pic of a sterling gray with regular running boards? I've looked through the entire picture thread and only saw the black x with regular boards. |

| So after seeing a member's mdx with regular boards, I've ordered the sports. :2: :2: :2: :2: :2: :2: :2: |

| Nice choice. There was a thread showing the comparison of boards and rims, but the search feature is being a pain. |

| I think the sport running boards look good on all the colors...just goes with the sportiness of the MDX. IMHO the side steps look out of place, although they are more functional. |

Excellent choice. Really, it's a no brainer. |

It's either form or function really ...the sport looks good on all i think but it's not really usable unless you're a young kid ...the chrome looks good on the dark/black color especially and is usable...doesn't look good on the lighter colors at all i.e. silver, white etc.
I went sport also because it has a better line with the rest of the vehicle. Good choice :29: |

Thanks all. I was going to order through Tim P. but found them on eBay from Curry Acura in NY for 439.00 w/ free shipping. That combined with the live.com 20% cashback means my total cost would be
$352 for the set shipped.
:D :D :D I can't wait for all this stuff to come in so I can get my new ride pimped out.:2: |

My opinion is that the chrome side steps look better with the standard rims and the sport running boards look good with the sport rims. I guess the aggressive design of the regular rims goes with the rugged looking side steps. On the other hand the simplicity of the sport running board looks good with the 5-spoke rim. Just my .02
So I went with: |

| Did you lower your X or is that ps? Also are you using a filter over a lens or is that again ps? |

Personally, I went with the chrome side steps for two reasons 1) They're actually usable by adults, and 2) I like the faux-butch attitude they lend my otherwise femme CUV (this is also why I happen to like the unpainted bumpers).
That said, there's no denying that the side running boards are by far the most practical ones to add to your X if you actually plan on using them. They may not look sexy, but they get the job done. The SRBs definitely look nice, but their only function in my mind is to protect the leading edge of the rear fender from road debris, and mask the dangly bits hanging underneath the X.
Regards,
Adam |

| BTW, the same goes for anything on ebay.. right now you can qualify for 20% cashback. Wood steering wheel from Curry Acura is 435 dollars so roughly the same deal for the wood wheel. 350 ish. |

Yup. Near free is right expression. BTW, let me know how hard to install the SRB, because I might have to take mine down one day before face to face with Fab's Black X. You know, the "DEAD" weight slow me down theory. :p |

Based on the how-to, it looks pretty damned easy. While youre at it, I'd stash your spare tire and jacks. Lightweight=free HP. Well not technically but you get the idea. |
