Well...it's pretty cold here in Michigan. I was taking a drive to the store to pick up something. Normally I always have the air on with the A/C off but the windows started to fog so I pushed the A/C button to turn it to A/C on. I heard a noise (not extremely loud but definitely noticeable) coming from the front of the car. It must be the Air conditioning unit but does it turn on that loud in your cars too? Thanks in advance.

No I have the a/c in both auto mode and manually and have not heard any loud noises either when it starts or while running. |

Did you get you MDX in Michigan? By chance did you get it in Grand Rapids?

My Volvo indicates that you are to run the A/C unit periodically to keep it working. It does warn to NOT run it in freezing conditions as the condensed moisture would freeze in the unit, and the compressor was not designed to handle those conditions.
this might be worth asking your local dealer about, mine doesn't see alot of cold weather. |

I am in ann arbor, MI. I ordered my Black/Ebony MDX with navi in the beginning of november. I received it mid december. The dealership is Suburban Acura in Farmington Hills. Service people have been great so far, but the sales manager is a jerk.
