I believe that's part of the squirrel-based noise-reduction system. Duct tape, a few squirrel parts, and suddenly you've reduced wind noise by 3.5 db. I think Tim sells the kits, but squirrels are hard to find in Buffalo these days.

Believe it or not, they're out sometimes. Matter of fact, the black squirrels that live near Niagara Falls will come up to you and eat out of your hand. I guess it's the cold and the desire for a full belly that makes them forget fear of humans. |

Some replies to the previous posts:
- Thanks Davegood - I recommend that any MDX owners within striking distance of eachother (bad choice of words there) make the effort to get together, it's great fun. I can't tell you what a riot it was to meet the actual Remery in person!
In fact, I invite the whole site over to Remery's house - stop in anytime! (Watch for the dog though...)
- The silver stuff on my roof has no squirrel parts or duct tape, it's tinsel that progressively disintegrated as I made my way across the midwest. There are still a few shards hanging on, I figure they'll be gone by Groundhog's day.
- Black squirrels are a color phase of the grey squirrel (one of those useless facts I feel obligated to report).
