I have two questions about using Zaino Clay Bar.
I am going to use this on my new X as well as a 10 y/o Accord EX. For the X, the instructions are clear however my questions for the Accord are:
The finish is pretty rough to the touch and has "cracking" in the clear coat. My limited experience would point me in the direction of a rubbing compound before applying a polish.
If I use clay bar, does that eliminate the need for a rubbing compound preparation?
If not, can someone recommend a good rubbing compound product?
Thanks:) |

CLAYBAR JUST PULLS THE CRAP OFF OR OUT OF THE SURFACE. IT DOESN'T SAND/SMOOTH/ABRADE IT. IF IT NEEDS AN ABRASIVE, CLAYBAR WON'T HELP. PROLLY WORTH TRYING THE CLAYBAR ON A SMALL SPOT TO SEE IF IT DOES ANY GOOD, THOUGH, BUT PROLLY WON'T ESP IF THE CLEAR IS CRACKING.

ANYTHING FROM 3M IS GOOD. THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTION OF THEIR SITE HAS INFO ON WHAT TO USE AND WHEN DEPENDING ON CONDITION OF PAINT.
