Hey,
I have finished about 10 hours of fabricating an elaborate brace and mounting my new flip-down video system and dvd and running all the wires. The headphones work but I am ready to install the FM modulator. Only one problem, how do I get to the antenna for the radio? I assume the wood-grain trim piece around the radio comes off but I'm scared to mess with it because I don't want to scar it or break it. Can anyone give me the trick to removing the radio so I can get behind it to the antenna or even better, a way to access the back of the radio without removing it. Thanks. |

you gotta just use a thin screwdriver blade to pry the edge off (wrap the screwdriver in protective tape to prevent damage). the wood panel around the stereo is held in by clips.
one suggestion, you can download the MDX factory CD-changer installation guide from hondaacuraworld.com. the instructions are decent. |

| Thanks for the tip, I downloaded the instructions and handled it that way. A little unnerving though taking a screwdriver to that fancy dash... |

don't use the screwdriver method, it works but it is too easy to scratch the dash, follow the instructions from this post:
radio trim removal
good luck! and thanks for the cool pics on your overhead install. |
