For anyone who remembers or cares, I'm the guy who had to opt out of our 5-month-old MDX order in favor of a Honda Odyssey several weeks ago due to a third child on the way.
While I'm not looking for any more sympathy, I am looking for opinions. Is the GG color on the Odyssey the same as the GG on the MDX? Every time I see an ODY, it looks slightly red. While I can bear to drive a minivan, I'm not sure I can stand to drive one that's...mauve.
Am I seeing things?

Hey, good to hear from you! How long is your wait for the Oddy?
The GG is the same on both. One of our friends just got a GG and there's no hint of red as you mention.
Maybe you're getting some reflection off the driver's nail polish ;) |

Hmm. Then I must be looking at a different color, or a different model year. I'll have to pose this to he ODYheads.
Worm, as for the wait, it depends on what you order. Assuming you don't find one on the lot from a deal that fell through that morning, probably a couple months, minimum. Longer--like 4-5 months--for leather with the RES (oneboard entertainment system). Of course, that's what we ordered.
The good news is that we pleaded with our Acura dealer's sister Honda dealership and they've done some allocation magic (I don't want to know) to get us "on the production schedule" for April. I assume that means we'll get a build date next month.
But baby's not due until September, and I'm in no rush to drive a mi...min...well, you know.

| I think I have seen Odysseys with GG similar to the MDX and other Odys with a charcoal-purple color similar to what you describe. I think they are distinct colors (maybe different years). |

| My brother-in-law has a gg 2002 ody. It is the same color as the gg MDX...grey. I have yet to see the green in the ody or the mdx, but I guess that is just me. |

Good eye there, A2...I know Honda had for @ least a few years a dark purple...sometimes looked black (in the shade), sometimes dark grey, and (ahem) too often purple.
That might be the sighting! |

Hi there Ablank, just pop on a set of Maniks, maybe add tailgate deflector, and splash some water down below your mirrors before you go out, you'll feel right at home. :)
BTW, after my bro-in-law saw our Navi, he added the Honda Nav system to his ODY order - it's the least you can do! |

| Simple way to settle this.....what's the color code on your Ody? It can be found on the inside driver door. |

Ah, clear thinking from Tim. But I don't have the thing yet. I was actually wondering if I'd ordered the right color. A2's answer tells me it's a model-year issue, and I've got the right color after all.
Ghost, you've got the right idea, but we opted for the DVD system, which means you can't get OEM navi in the ODY. (Say it with me: "Navi in the ODY, navi in the ODY...")
Realistically, this is going to be my wife's vehicle primarily, so I'll have to ask her about the Manik's. ("You want what?!!")
