Beautiful pics of your X. I have a white X and am thinking about using Zaino products, but probably Zaino will not be as noticeable on a white X, since the color white doesn't shine like other colors.
Where did you get your Zaino products?
BTW, are those black Manik side steps on your X? How do you like them? I just got my black Maniks and will be installing them soon. Any problems? (There have been complaints about Maniks not feeling as stable as the factory steps, especially in regard to the front support bracket area) |

Yes They are Black Manics. Seems a little flimsy at first, but I believe it's just the whole frame rocking when you step on them. They hold up fine, though the end caps sometimes start to pop off if you step on them. Otherwise, they look great and are a good value.
Re. the deflector: I waxed that area prior to installation, so I did not need to remove.
Re. Zaino purchase: see the detailing section on this site. Or you can go to Zaino's web site for order form. I'm attaching a couple more shots for you. I think Zaino would be fine on white. The whole benefit is the protection and also the removal of all contaminents with the clay bar. You'll never reflect like a BLK MDX, but then again you'll never look as dirty a week after a wash! |

What is Zaino?? Is it a wax?? I have a 2002 black MDX, would it be worth using it on black?

79, go to the "detailing" section on this site re: Zaino. Lotsa good stuff....plan on spending a LOT of time reading all those posts, though.;)

Nah, my BSM is by Prostripe (click on the link in my sig line for info). I got it early last year -- well before Acura came out w/the OEM BSMs.
I *think* the Prostripes stick out a bit more than the OEMs (which is good), and they also run farther back the rear door and farther forward onto the front quarter panel (which is also good IMO).
I'm actually contemplating the Acura OEMs, tho. These BSMs are true black -- whereas the paint on the car has just a hint of blue metallic to it in the sun. The more Zaino I put on, the greater the color difference between the paint and the BSMs. |
