Does anyone else hear the thud noise that could be coming from the gas tank? I still have this intermittent thud coming from the rear of the car and wondering if it's the gas tank. Does anyone hear noises from the tank and what does it sound like? Is it kinda like a thud?

I can't seem to find the thread that you're referring to that describes the gas tank noise. The only thing I've read so far in the "The Thud" thread talks about sway bars and arm bushings. I am wondering the amount of noise attributed to the gas tank. Does it produce a thud also? And if it does, can the dealer do anything to alleviate the noise?

I also have the thud sound not solved yet.
I have this gas tank noise, especially when I have
a full tank of gas and just myself in the vehicle.
The gas movement (in the tank) was very clear.
Somehow, with a full load or family of 4
during a trip, it was fine and I have not figured
out the magic yet. I am going to wait till other
findings, for example the strut, since it drives fine. |
