Although I've been told by Acura Client Services that the Michelin tires come standard on all MDXs (i.e., those with and without the touring package), I've seen the Goodyear Integrity tires on the non-touring model. Are the Michelins standard, and, if not, does anyone have any comments on the Goodyear tires? I'm thinking of asking the dealer to put on the Michelin's regardless. Thoughts?

I know for a fact that the Goodyear tires come standard on the base model and the Michelin's come with the Touring Package only. There is an upgrade in tires & wheels when you purchase the Touring Package.
The Goodyear tires are good, but the quality of the Michelin's is better.
I have no idea if you can purchase the Michelin's from Acura as an added option. I would guess, no.

after Firestone, it looks like Goodyear has gotten into trouble... Hope Michelin doesnt get a 'friendly' call from the NHTSA! knock on wood or rather, tires...

The Michelin tires are new and will be available for purchase by the general public in January (at least that's what I heard). They supposely have better ride, noise and handeling charactoristics than the Goodyears. They are the same size and one could easily upgrade to them after January. | I got the base and put on 18" Konig wheels and Pirelli Scorpion Zero P255/55VR18 tires - essentially exactly the same diameter but about 1/2" wider. It greatly improves the handling even over the Michelins on the touring but makes the ride a little firmer (more "Germanic"). |

| I plan to copy you KBM. I will probably use different wheels but the Pirelli P Scorpian Zeros look like the best tires to use for 18" wheels. Thanks for the Suggestion. |
