1 of 3. This is the exoticwooddash.com kit (and the Acura steering wheel and shift knob, of course). That big ugly thing on the upper side of the steering wheel, attached to the vent, is a temp cell phone holder/handsfree, til Promount comes out w/an MDX kit. I left out some of the pieces (radio, nav, gear selector, sunglass holder) as it started to get a bit overwhelming. I'm on the fence with the air vent covers -- they look fantastic on the beige interior; sometimes I like 'em and sometimes not on the ebony. I REALLY like the glovebox trim, tho.
Installation suggestion: be sure and preheat (w/hair dryer) the plood parts in the kit and mold them before final placement -- esp. the instrument cluster piece. Also, use the 3M Contact Enhancer stuff fast as it dries quickly when exposed to air.

3 of 3. This is Prostripe kit M94, 1" halfround, 12ft w/tips; I had about 3-4" left over when done based on the application area. Thanks to jdford @ edmunds.com for the install tips.
Here's what I did: remove wax on application area with Dawn dishsoap (the original blue color). You have to choose the right line; I liked the line w/where the rear bumper meets the taillights. I taped a string from front-to-back, and made sure it was level, then marked w/masking tape, then checked w/a level and measured from the lower body crease to the tape, laying the prostrip about 12-18" at a time.
NOTE: you can tell from the pic that the door crease just at the door handles and the crease @ the bottom DIVERGE. You have to pick one, so I picked the lower -- it was level w/the ground. You can do one of those "shifting eyes play tricks" things if you try and look @ the molding relative to the door handle crease versus the lower body.
To cut the stripe to length, I used a cheapo Ace Hardware handheld pruner, 3/4". MAKE SURE you use a cutter WITHOUT serrated blades, else you'll leave grooves in your cuts! Cut @ a 45 degree angle for the front of each door (let me know if you want to see closeups -- I'll take more pics). Leave about 1/8" before and after door seams.

I had the same dilema about which line to follow. My solution was to forget about both, pick my origination point (line where rear bumper meets body) and use the level to set my tape.

Their online site isn't bad -- the ordering process is a little hokey (you get sent to a 3rd party secure site, then get 2 confo emails), but it worked and I had the kit in 2 days (I'm in SF Bay Area FWIW). |

could you take some close ups of how you installed the trim around the doors and the start and finish of the trim??
Looks great in the pics but I would like to see more detail so I know what to do on my Black touring.\

If it is not a bother, if you could take one more picture, kinda from the second row with the two front seats all the way down in the reclined position so you can see the whole kit in FRONT view....that would be cool.
I'm 99.99% sure that I am going to get this kit (and the steering wheel) for my Silver w/ Ebony MDX as soon as I get the funds.:D
If it's a bother...don't worry about it.

How much was the wood dash trim? If I would have known there was an aftermarket wood trim that looked that nice I would have opted for that instead of paying up the rear from Acura.....

Someone posted an earlier question on whether there's a difference betw the two. I don't believe there is; the pieces in the kit are identical and the part numbers are "382" (or something like that) on both sites. Even the install directions are exactly the same (with the same pics) --> It appears they're just selling the same manufacturer's product. |

Worm the pictures are great. I know this may sound cheap,but I have been trying to find and buy the 2 pieces over the glove box. It seems that no one has a broken kit, I know that that it would cost more that way, but that is fine with me. So if any one hears of any place that I might call, I would sure appreciate hearing.
