Let me say, it looks very nice!! I like the idea of the picture on the front page too.
Great job!

Excellent job on website, it looks and works great. Compliments to the programmer. Reset your cookies and everything works great and better layout.

Very nice! Seems to be quite a bit faster too! Now, if if could only find the last GG base model out there...

Wow, a lot of work went into this upgrade.

I would ask, however, if we could add another font size (is this done by adding another style set, as in style sheet?) The font size currently in place is rather small (hard to read) on a monitor set to high resolution. Changing the browser's font size won't do any good because the site's font sizes are being controlled through styles.
octavian
Yeah, the font is a tad small, especially with my advancing age; however, let me show you my workaround.....:D

New look is great. But let's up the message font a couple of points. It's very tiring holding my iMac at arm's length. ;)

anyone having trouble goes thru a thread with numerious pages?
usually there was an area at bottom which allowed you to go to next page, or any page. I only see the next thread, no page change?

Yes, you're correct. Also heard that the page # footer isn't appearing on the general forum "view new posts" or "today's active" if there are > 25...

And lest we look a gift horse in the mouth, we'll probably see some roughness over the next few days. Daniel and the others here are doing a great job, I've seen sites that are down for days or go up and down for weeks. And it's not like we're paying him!

I luv the new look! 10 Thumbs UP, DAN!!!!
...and I'm the happy owner of the GIGI (featured on the front page) - I volunteered to demo this site and what a surprise it was - to see my G make the front page! :D
The small fonts was one of my original complains and seeing as to how many people agree with me, I think the fonts should go back to 10.

Otherwise, once more, Dan - you're Z MAN! Thanks for the web site, thanks for all your work, thanks for introducing me to such a FINE-looking 'DX crowd! Cheers!

Anyone else having trouble navigating (no pun intended) the site with Netscape Navigator?
When I use Internet Explorer (which I dislike as a browser), the boxes across the top ("home", "forums", "chat", etc.) light up orange, and I can click on them.

However, when I use Netscape, I can't get these boxes to become "clickable". I am using Netscape Communicator 4.79, because I am very hesitant to use the 6.0 and above versions after beta-testing 6.0.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Otherwise, love the new site!
:p

Also...
The e-mail notification system is not completely working properly. When I got word of the update to this thread, it gave the address as:
http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/show...24&goto=newpost

, which comes back as a broken link.

Can you check on this?

Thanks!

If we had had all this months ago no telling how many posts we would have piled up:rolleyes:

Daniel-

i was trying to access the response link from an e-mail update (someone posted responses to the thread i subscribed, and i got an e-mail with a link in it)... it used to be able to pop up a window and display the very last post of the specific thread... with the new version of the forum, it displayed some error messages saying the link doesn't exist.... i tried several times with 2 different machines and two connections (one at home with dial-up, the other at work with T1), neither one works.... i don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem, if so, you might want to take a look at it.... thanks......

Hi, Daniel-

i found out the reason for the above abnormalty.... the new forum's address got changed from acuramdx.org to acuramdx.phpwebhosting.com.... but in the e-mail updates, it still uses old web address, causing the missing link problem... you might want to make some updates there....

Daniel-

you might also want to check out the links in the panel, the "control panel", "register" etc.... they don't work either, they are using the old web address too.... thanks.....

How did you get your fonts back in your signature? I lost mine in the upgrade; otherwise I am pleased as punch:4:
msu79gt82
I had to delete the old signature and re-enter it. I think the old [size] code was causing the problem. Apparently fixed now:p

I still can't get large or small letters in my signature, I thought I was using small letters in past for the details of my vehicle. I can use bold, underlined, color, italized, but can't use size=1 or size =2. They have no effect. Otherwize I love the new features of this site.

The size is fixed via style sheet. Depending on your browser, style classes take precedent over explicit font size definition.

Actually fonts and size seem to have no affect on posts. Whether its signature or thread. I'm not quite sure what you meant by the above statement, can you re-state so a child like myself can understand! It's a little to much computer talk for me to understand!
TheWorm
huge large regular small

Sorry about that. Basically, I programmed the site in a way that allows me to easily change font sizes across the board. So, when a couple of days ago everyone asked me to make the font larger, it only took me a couple of minutes to do. However, the side effect is that you can't change the size of the font while posting or in your sig line.
