Great websight!

Would appreciate comments on the following:

1. Actual savings if purchased in canada.

2. Recommended dealer(s) in canada.

3. Would recalls be void if brought to US.

4. Aftermarket warranties for US owners.

Thanks,

Ron

It's important for you to know that the warranty would only be good in Canada! I don't think (according to a US Acura Dealer) that the aftermarket warranty is a good option.

Our Canadian friends get VAT'd and all kinds of other unspeakable acts done to them?

Acura puts all kinda restrictions on "warranties" & such.

NAFTA indeed!

Canada's version of a VAT is called the "Goods and Services" tax (aka G.S.T.). I bought my MDX in Alberta where there is no provincial tax, so we only have the G.S.T. (7%) applied to the vehicle as tax. After comparing all costs (taxes and other misc. fees as well as registration costs, dollar exchange rate, etc.), I originally calcuated that I could save $9,200 US by buying in Alberta instead of Nevada. That's major moola.:1:
