Great websight!
Would appreciate comments on the following:
1. Actual savings if purchased in canada.
2. Recommended dealer(s) in canada.
3. Would recalls be void if brought to US.
4. Aftermarket warranties for US owners.
Thanks,
Ron |

| It's important for you to know that the warranty would only be good in Canada! I don't think (according to a US Acura Dealer) that the aftermarket warranty is a good option. |

Our Canadian friends get VAT'd and all kinds of other unspeakable acts done to them?
Acura puts all kinda restrictions on "warranties" & such.
NAFTA indeed! |

| Canada's version of a VAT is called the "Goods and Services" tax (aka G.S.T.). I bought my MDX in Alberta where there is no provincial tax, so we only have the G.S.T. (7%) applied to the vehicle as tax. After comparing all costs (taxes and other misc. fees as well as registration costs, dollar exchange rate, etc.), I originally calcuated that I could save $9,200 US by buying in Alberta instead of Nevada. That's major moola.:1: |
