I was shocked to see this:

A lot of it is 'tounge-in-cheek' too I believe.
They probably don't show the more intelligent emails from SUV owners.

Myself, this is my first SUV. I ocassionally found some SUV drivers irritating, but certainly not as much as many other drivers, regardless of what they are driving. People still cut me off, or speed up within inches of my rear bumper, etc. They're idiots.
When you drive a lower car, even with no trucks or SUVs in front of you, it is even more important to keep your distance because your forward vision is reduced.
It's just common sense.
So many idiots on the road, I don't see much difference from before and now after having an SUV except I can see further ahead. I think it's much ado about nothing, but don't like all the aggression and bad feelings from people with whom I share the road with everyday.

Those sick puppies must really not like me. I own both an SUV and a 4WD P/U.

With all the stupid, moron drivers with lowered Honda civics, I'd rather CRUSH them like a tomato and KILL them with my SUV than they kill me first......Yes, survival of the fittest and wisest......Long live the SUV!!!!!.........I had a severe argument with my Uncle the other day who was giving me a lecture about wasting natural resources, and how SUVs are a danger for other drivers etc. etc. etc.

My bone of contention, is THESE DAYS the good guy NEVER wins......there's people tailgaiting you if you're doing 65 in the slow (right-hand-most) lane, and then there's others doing 55 in the fast (left-hand-most) lane....these morons just seem to be Hellbent on doing just the opposite of what's right, and ticking off people. Then there's the ones changing lanes within an inch of your mirror without signalling, weaving in and out, intentionally and blatantly running red lights (with an attitude), cutting in front of you at the last moment to get into a different lane to change freeways (these people think they're special and need not wait in line like all the rest)........and the cops don't do didley sh*t about any of this..........If I had my way, I'd whip these people and take em off the roads for good (yes, I do suffer from road rage   ).......yeah, and here I am the stupid moron  signalling at every turn, stopping at every stop sign, courteously allowing other drivers to merge so they can take their intended exit..................so, what's my defense.......Yeah baby, I drive an SUV, so don't mess with me because in the unfortunate event we do crash,......oops, broke a nail...., me with my 5000lb SUV and you with your 2000lb lowered civic, know whose going to be the winner in this game.......you may play foul, but I have the bigger vehicle :4:

I've got no respect for macho SUV drivers that think they are invincible. Especially true in snow. SUVs go like crazy in snow, but can't stop. I laughed when I saw a Jeep Cherokee on its side off the road in 2" of snow.

I don't just single out bad SUV drivers - all bad drivers suck! The ones who feel they are invincible in a large vehicle are, in a sense, the worst because they are potentially the most deadly. This goes for those 'professional' drivers of large trucks - some of them are the most dangerous drivers on the road.

SUVs are an alternative to a minivan in that people who have gone through years of infertility have had to look on upon thousands of these easily acquired big family flaunting vehicles and would not perpetuate that for others in their situation because there are so many people who do not get the "minivan" ending. I would venture to guess that minivans are not purchased by too many people who don't have two or more kids. I would rather have an SUV because of its functional ambiguousness (for better or worse) and because my daughter who finally came to us after many infertility trials deseves to ride around in an MDX and we are not going to buy a Mercedes Station Wagon for more money and less space!

It has room for our two Laborador Retrievers, too! :D
