Sorry if this question has been asked before. Just wondering
for detailing the side step, trim, and mud flaps which product
do you recommend? May be Z14 or Vinylex? How'bout roof rack?
Thanks! |

| I used Zaino Z2 on all of those parts and it works great. Roof rack actually has a glossy shine after a couple coats. |

Those are good questions, I've wondered myself. I have been going over exterior 'rubber/plastic' parts with Vinylex. The roofrack has painted, or coated metal parts also. I have swiped those with Z2 for some protection. I am not really sure what's the best.
I've used Zaino on my Stainless side steps too, but now considering metal polish. I use Vinylex on the plastic steps, but not much, I don't want them to be slippery.
I will say one thing about the interior, I am finding that Novus 1 keeps the faux wood and clear covering on the instruments polished and much more dust free. |

I use either vinylex or z16 (tire gloss) on exterior, textured plastic like the flaps or trim between the doors.
z2 is safe for all of 'em. I use z5 on the powdercoated parts (sidesteps and rack). |

Wife wants me to try Zaino on our stainless steel appliances and the showers at our home.
Have 5 coats on the MDX, better try this before problems develop. |

| I use Armorall wipes on the side steps, etc. It works great and is extremely easy (it's actually a very lazy way to do it, but it fits into my lifestyle!) |

| Used Z-16 on mudflaps and Manik black step-pads and it looks great. Also used it on the dash and perhaps one of the best products to date for this purpose that I've tried. Big advantage is that it doesn't attract dust like some of the others. Seems to last a long time and is not greasy. |

Thanks!
I have Z16 and Vinylex on hand. Will try to apply them
over this long weekend. |

I ended up using Mothers Metal Polish on the Manik chrome side steps. It worked quite nicely = gave a good shine, easy to apply, but didn’t take the fine scratches out. I will be ordering Z5 next week and give it a try on the Maniks again, hopefully the Z5 can do magic on those scratches out.
I also used Amorall on the plastic pads (on Maniks) and the mud-guards. |

I dont think Z14 is intended for the dash. I use Z 9 & 10 on the dash (as well as the seats) and am very happy with the results. |

Huh?! z14 is an abrasive polish for smooth plastics; You're not s'posed to use it on textured surfaces or vinyl. The dash is textured plastic.
If you mistyped and meant z16, then you probably just need to buff after application... |

| Hard to find. Works well. Not greasy. A bit of a pain to apply, with "spray, wait, wipe-off" but seems to last a reasonably long time... Very similar products, though not identical. |
