Has anyone bought non-Acura cargo tray or all-weather floor mats? Seems like prices on those items from Acura are very steep, even with the promo from Tim (hondacuraworld). Any suggestions? I guess it really comes down to how much of original fit I want. I did check Costco for cargo trays but don't have them where I live. Any place to mail order for a good price and fit/quality?
Thanks in advance. |

I bought the Acura floor mats from Tim because they are a perfect fit and I think that is critical in the passenger areas--especially since my passengers are kids! As far as the cargo area is concerned, however, the Acura cargo tray and liner were not the best choices. In addition to the high cost, they are black, and I have the saddle interior. However, I found that the "universal fit" SUV cargo mat at Wal-Mart (!) fit in the back quite well, covering most of the cargo area with the third row seats folded down. It is easy to remove if you want to use the seats, and I got the "clear" color which doesn't look bad. Plus it was inexpensive. Note that this is the type of mat that rolls up, so it wouldn't be the best choice if you carry wet stuff back there and need to contain the moisture. Hope this helps. Claire

I ordered the cargo tray from Tim at hondacura.com (free shipping and a great price to boot) last week. The tray is perfect! It fits like a glove and looks fantastic! It's made of plastic, but is pliable enough to roll up. I highly recommend it. Tim was also quite clear that if I didn't like it, I could return it for a full refund. There is a great picture of an installed cargo tray in the gallery. Check it out. That's what sold me.
I also asked Tim about the all-weather floor mats. He was quite honest in telling me that the all-weather mats were not much bigger than the standard mats. He told me not to waste my money. Now, that's honesty. He said I'd be much better off going to a auto parts store and buying cheap mat saver. I'll be looking into that today. |

| Salami, thanks for your comments, my one concern with the cargo tray is that, when a pile of kids spontaneously need a ride home, I need to fold it behind the 3rd row of seats -There have been mixed comments on the pliability of the tray in this forum; it sounds like the Acura one will work. |

Ghost,
The cargo tray arrived from Tim rolled up. It was about 12 inches in diameter. So it can be rolled up and stuffed behind the third row. But to be honest with you, my third row will almost never be up, and that was my decision to by the cargo tray instead of the cargo liner.
On a separate note to this post, I just ordered MacNeil winter mats for the front. The mats are shaped to fit smoothly over the dead pedal under you left foot (or so they claim). The front mats cost $52.95 shipped. I passed on the back mats since I have no kids to trash the back mats that came standard. |
