| I'm a bit confused with how this group buy thing works. I've been checking the group buy list and I see the Zaino order there, but I keep reading things such as BSM Group buy and Wheel Locks Group Buy, but they aren't listed in the Group Buy section of this site. Then today I see that the Touring Wheel Group buy is available but expired yesterday, but it wasn't listed yesterday! Am I just a moron or am I missing something? :confused: |

The deadline has been corrected to August 8th.
I, too, am confused. How does one start a group buy? It seems that one should contact Daniel, but who is Daniel?

As I understand it, Tim (Hondacura World) does not want to have more than 2 group buys going at the same time. So when the protection pkg GB expired, he started the Touring rim GB (which officially started on 7/8 and will expire on 8/8)
As for the other threads, those are discussions from members trying to campaign enough interest to get other GB's initiated. Basically it is not an 'official' GB until Daniel (site Admin) opens it and places it in the 'Group Buys' section (see top Nav bar). My guess is Tim will probably do the wheel locks next since response seems to be overwhelming. |

For those who don't know me, my name is Daniel, and I have developed, own and run this site (with the help from our moderators, TheWorm, Hondacuraworld (Tim), and A4Life), as well as honda-pilot.org site.
As far as group buys go. I've developed an interface that allows everyone to track a group buy. We should only use this. Forums can be used to discuss group buys, but not to track who's in and who's not, it is very difficult and unorganized.
To start a group buy, you have to have an agreement from the vendor (e.g. Tim), and then email me with the details (info@acuramdx.org). After that, I set it up in the system, and it will show up on the home page.
Group buys have an expiration date, after which, they will still show up on the home page, but will be crossed out (until I completely delete it from the system).
Also, most group buys will have a minimum # of people required. Once that number is reached, the group buy will turn green, to indicate that instructions should soon be available.
Instructions are available soon after the minimum number of people required is reached. If instructions are available, a link to the instruction page will be shown on the home page. You must be enrolled into a group buy in order to see the instructions.
Now, as far as other group buys hanging around forums, they are either left overs from before I put in the gb system, or someone is not following the rules.
Again, please do not request a group buy, unless you have contacted the vendor and have his/her agreement.
Hope this clears the confusion.
