| How long has it taken to get a Mdx after you have ordered it? I ordered mine July 1 and they are only saying I will get it in September. |

Mine took less than six weeks (between 4 and 5 if I remember right). Ordered in March, delivered in April.
Your mileage may vary, but your delivery is more than 8 weeks! That seems pretty long. Why not get an '03, or demand a real price break on the '02? By September, it's just a few short weeks before the '03s start showing up.
On the other hand, the bird in the hand and all that. |

I ordered in early MARCH, getting it this Friday.
Took just over 4 and a half months.
Well worth the wait. |

Ordered our '02 Base RedRock on July 13, should be receiving delivery on July 30 or Aug. 1.
I was told by the General Manager at the dealership they were doing a trade with another dealer - the vehicle was ordered by the other dealership and was already being shipped. They worked a deal to trade inventory for inventory.
If you push your dealer, they should be able to do the same thing because 2002's aren't moving as quickly, and dealers aren't so inclined to hang onto what they have.
As I recall, a very knowledgable person on this website posted that Acura was no longer accepting orders for 2002's (orders ended about middle of July), so it looks like you got your order in "under the wire"...if you're not in a hurry, maybe you should switch your order to a 2003 and wait a few more weeks from your expected delivery? |

| We ordered ours the last week of June. The dealer indicated it was being built last Monday, 7/22. We expect delivery next week. Good luck! |

Just dropped off the X for the 7500 mile service. Bell
Acura currently has 7 MDX's in stock from base to
touring/navi's. If anyone in the Phoenix area is
interested, you can call Andrew @ (602)375-3750;) |

I don't understand how they allocate inventory, because here, they would have been sold the same day.
I waited 4+ months, the person above waits 4+ weeks and in Phoenix you wait 4+ hours to get your MDX.
Kinda pissed about this, because the 2003 are just around the corner. |

When I initially went to the dealer in late Nov, they told
me three months and $500. deposit. I said no. They asked
me if they could call if one came in and the deal for that person
fell through. I said yes. They phoned me later that afternoon and
had a SS Touring/Navi sitting on the lot and asked me if I was
interested. I went, I saw, I bought. Just luck and timing I guess.
By the way, Andrew, the salesman is from Kingston Ont., an I
moved down here to Phoenix from Vancouver in 1996. Andrew
recognized I was Canadian when I said 'ABOOT'. What gives
with this 'aboot' business? I always thought I said 'about'. |

That explains everything.
Two "good ol' Canadian boys" working together.....quote from Don Cherry.
I was told the same, but never got a call about any cancellations from my salesman. |
