Front Mask Doesn't Fit - Click HERE for Original Thread

So I'm leaving tomorrow, Saturday at 3 am for a road trip from L.A. to Anchorage in the newly converted MDX-RV. A friend who's done the trip a few years back brought me all the maps, guides and pictures and indicated that if I'm going to use a nice car, I better get a front bra for the 3,000 miles (2-way) of gravel and dirt roads on the Alaska Highway. I looked at the color-matched lower front trim on the X and I realize, the mask ain't gonna fit. The whole front end of my sparkling MDX will look like the surface of the moon. I know about the 3M Invisible Bra stuff, but between the contact paper look, and the hassles of a custom install working on and around the front trim, I don't think its worth it. Just let the car look as it should after the beating it will take. Just wanted to warn those of you thinking of both a bra and the front trim.

Finally figured out how to run a 1600watt hair blow dryer (wife won't let me save money by campgrounding most of the trip unless I can gurantee hot showers and a blow dryer at every stop) but I won't get into my battery array, porta-potty, and hot shower system unless someone asks, when I return in 3 1/2 weeks, with a mangled 'X. Will give report upon return.

Uhm, the Al-Can highway is paved, has been for many years.

Before you go, pickup a copy of the Milepost. It's a mile by mile description of every major road in Alaska. See www.milepost.com
