I don't know if these are in Souther Cal, but these are pretty good installers in CAL:

What are you looking to do in particular? You can do so much!! Do you have navi? Do you want to convert navi to take video? Do you want a flip down screen for the second row? screens in the headrests? What is your budget? You can do a search on video installs and you can find a ton of stuff. You can click on my signature to see what I've done. May give you some ideas... |

Just got an 8" flip-down screen from SAVV and playstation 2 on my X. i must say, I am very pleased with the folks from Sound Stations in Valencia. The install was clean and cost only $130 includes the necessary wirings.
I would call sound stations just to get a quote and get a hold of Chris or Danny (owner) and tell them Cesar referred you to them. I will be a repeat customer and they are willing to work with me with price. i liked that.
Good luck. |

Did you mean to say $1300 ?
Thanks
PS: I had some less than satisfactory experience with SoundSations...missed wiring. Guess you were lucky. |

slcal1,
That's unfortunate news about your experience with Sound Stations. I am curious on how they handled your missed wiring; I had an easy time with them. Now am not so sure if I should have them work on getting my head unit out and puttin in the Pioneer AVC-90DVD and AVD-W6010 screen.
Here's my cost breakdown...
SAVV 8" flipdown w/ IR - $425.00
Playstation 2 - $199.00
PS2 Wireless controllers - $100 for pair.
PS2 Remote contrller - $20.00
AC Adapter - $60.00
RF Modulator - $70.00
Installation - $130.00
The only delay was the RF modulator since they did not have it in stock and I had to wait for two days. Chris was great, I couldn't go last Saturday to have the RF installed because I had my kids and they sent someone to pick up my X and dropped it off within 2 hours.
Now that I think of what Chris did, I think I will go back to have them work on my nav. Hope it works out.

I didn't know PS2 have wireless controllers..:)
Let's just say...I think Al&Ed's in Sherman Oaks has much more knowledgeable techs...I searched around alot..found many amateurs.
Only reason I didnt get it done at Al&Ed was that a part was out of inventory. I should have waited...
Be careful with amateurs messing with your X.
Good luck. |
