| I plan to install the air deflector on my MDX, but I don't know it's worth or not. Can anyone give me an advise? Its Pros and Cons? Thanks. |

| I like the way mine looks a lot. It was very easy to install - just drill four holes in pre-marked (with dimples) locations in the liftgate and attach the bolts. I have noticed a reduction in the amount of crud collecting on the rear window. Also, it covers up the ugly rear-wsher jet and de-emphasizes the ugly (IMHO) antenna. |

I love the look of the antenna. I am just not sure if automatic car washes can damage it, any opinion? |

| Thank you kbm for your good info about the tail gate deflector. I'd like to know about it also, but my question is about the air deflector installed on top of the hood (instead of install nose mask to protect the hood). I see many different SUVs using this kind of deflector, but I don't know whether it really protects your paint and not make the wind noise when driving or not |

VDO - I've used a similar deflector on a '98 Mercury Mountaineer for 3 years and they work well, particularly the factory-supplied ones because they tend to fit better.
When my black MDX arrives in two weeks, unfortunately, there will NOT be a highly-styled, factory Acura Air Deflector waiting to be installed on it - they are backordered all over the country and, according to Tim at "hondaacuraworld", it will be a month or two before they are available. Hope I don't run into too much road debris by then.
You can contact Tim at hondaacuraworld at:

He has the best prices are genuine Acura accessories and shipping is free.

| Anyone consider painting it body color before they install it? |
|
|
|
| I haven't yet decided if I want a rear roof deflector. But if I got one, I'm sure I'd want to paint it body color first. IMHO, it looks too "unfinished" if not painted. |

| My MDX is black and the rear deflector looks great without being painted. However, I would probably have it painted if I had any color other than black. I had the fender flares painted before I put them on because I didn't lik to two-tone effect that the gray flares introduced. |

| Thank you, MDXer. I will definitely get one when it's available at hondacuraworld. |

I disagree. The REAR tailgate deflector looks great black on a Silver MDX (& other Ext. colors too). My opinion !
AcuraTl has pictures posted of his Silver MDX with the Tailgate deflector in black at:

CHECK IT OUT !
It looks awesome !!
:D

| Just ordered my MDX. Due in March. Does the rear deflector create any additional noise? My dealer wants $515 for it. Sounds expensive to me. |

|
| I think the stock black tailgate deflector also looks good on the Granite Green Metallic in that it complements the black roof rack. If anyone on this board wants to see what my fully loaded (everything but the trailer hitch) MDX looks like from various angles, e-mail me and I'll e-mail back some JPEG photos. Would post them on this board if I knew how, but can't find any instructions. My e-mail address is bilmat@home.com. |
