Welcome to the site. You can take a look at this thread.

The LCD mounting bracket is below the sunroof shade and does
not interfeare with the sliding of shade. There are MANY other threads showing how their in-car DVD system was installed. Enjoy.

MDFLEX,

Here's mine, the screen doesn't get in the way. There is a "pocket" where the sunroof slides through with no problems. It's almost like the inside of a drawer.

Very narritive thread, I never saw that one. Thanks for the information. I still considering the newer version with the DVD built into the overhead unit. It's an all-in-one with no need to mount any player or units under the seats. I may consider the installation myself, the thread appears to make it appear very easy.

Thanks. I wonder if VOD806 can be installed in MDX without the console. My concern is how much rear view you still can get after console and VOD806 are installed.

Not sure, but one of the links had a detailed installation guide that may have the answer. Also I want to be able to play DVD-R, DVD-RW's. These are the DVD's that we will be recording from home DVD recorders. Alot of today's dvd players are not compatable with this new format.
