Hey everyone! Just wanted to get your opinion on this. Im thinking of installing on the driver and passanger headrest video moniters.

1. What is a good size video screen to put in the headrest?

2. What ia a good brand that has a reasonable price?
(price range between 100-300)

Also if you do have any suggestions could you please include possible places where i can purchase these items.

Thanks for all your help!

I struggled with similar question on head rest mounted monitor...
I ended up not getting one because the MDX head rest is rather small and wasn't 100% sure if they will fit...I saw two monitors:
Sony and SAVV.
I think the trick is to visit installer shops and see if they can actually do the job right. They won't be able to say for sure over the phone.

I ended up getting flip down monitor instead and that takes some skilled tech as well because of the sunroof proximity.

Research in your area and call them up...

Good Luck.

After a lot of research and discussion with my installer I also decided to go with an overhead monitor rather than the headrest mounts. Selecting two acceptable monitors plus installation would have cost me slightly more than the installed overhead monitor.

One of the issues to consider with headrest mounts is the position and angle of the front seats, which will affect the rear passengers' viewing angle.

Whatever you decide to do I recommend viewing monitors in person before making a purchase. There are a lot of choices on the market with a wide range of features and video quality. Pay particular attention to the resolution level, sufficiently wide angle of viewing and ability to adjust brightness, color level and tint, etc.

Good luck!

Can someone give me an idea of what kind of resolution i should consider? Or any kind info on what i should look for when looking for a video screen.

Here's a couple of web site link:

[URL=http://www.savv.com]

Monitors I have looked are:

Audiovox
Alpine
SAVV
SONY
PANASONIC
PIONEER
ROSEN <--sold @ Best buys
COSTCO also carries some mobile video..but they don't provide installation.

I thought Panasonic unit was pretty good...can't say about its reliability...Many techs told me that low end Alpine units aren't so hot.

Hope I am not confusing you.

If i get monitors for my headrests that come with those rca cable hook up thingys on the end. Im not sure what they are called. Will I be able to hook up my ps2 straight up to those monitors or would i need to buy a gex-p7000tv?

Or is that gex-p7000tv only for the front stock in-dash monitor??

This is what I have in mind... (I forgot who submitted this picture to this forum).

thats a phat set up. Im thinking of doing the headrests first so i dont make myself distracted if i have a video feed to the front monitor.
The headrests dont look like the standard headrest?

Those aren't the original headrests....well, they may be, but they are reshaped. Here's a set we did that ARE original:

Hey Ron,

Do you have a list of monitors I can choose from?
Or did the owner send you all the equipment and you just installed it?
