Vibrating side view mirror - Click HERE for Original Thread

The drivers side, side view mirror in my GG Touring MDX vibrates slightly when driving. This has the effect of blurring what I see through this mirror. Has anyone experienced this and what did you/going to do about it. The passengers side, side view mirror does not vibrate at all. If I have the dealer change the drivers side mirror, is it a major job? In changing the mirror could the dealer potentially damage something else and create bigger problems? Appreciate any advice.

Sounds like this is your first SUV. The massive amount of air that these vehicles push at high way speeds creates a lot of turbulance. Be greatful it is only a slight vibration/blurring.
New MDXer,

I have not owned an SUV before my MDX, but my mirrors do not vibrate at all - even in the 80's.

zoodrow,

I would have the dealer check it out.

KOT!
Thanks for the responses. I must clarify that the housing of the drivers side mirror is secure and that the glass mirror in the housing vibrates slightly while driving. Is this normal? The passenger side mirror in the housing does not vibrate at all while driving.

zoodrow,

neither my housings or mirrors vibrate at all!!
When I drive my MDX, my head bobs up and down due to the enjoyment of the ride. Similar to the bobbing head baseball characters...

Is this normal?

WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!
