I'd like to hear from other members who have bought gear from BuyLoud.
I placed an order 3 weeks ago for a JL 300/4 and it still hasn't shipped. The customer line doesn't answer. I've only been able to contact them using email and got some vague explanation saying that they are waiting for a shipment anytime now.
Just sounds like a basement operation. I'm just about ready to cancel my order if I can only get them on the phone. Anybody else had trouble with them? |

DO NOT DEAL WITH BUYLOUD!
Here is a follow-up on my story with Buyloud.com:
First, let me say that their Customer "Service" line NEVER answers, so all contacts have been by email.
8/16: ordered a JL 300/4 amp (supposedly in stock)
8/21: asked them to inquire about the status. they told me they would have it in stock by the end of the week.
8/27: asked them to inquire about the status. they told me they would have it in stock by the end of the week. yes, one week later, same status.
9/2: asked them to cancel my order if they could not ship on that day.
9/3: they changed the status of my order online from "processing" to "shipped" with a tracking number. the UPS delivery data showed 9/6.
9/6: i never received the package. the UPS tracking info didn't even show any progress. i asked them to cancel my order again.
9/9: they blame it on UPS and tell me they will issue a credit ONLY IF the package was lost. knowing that they are lying, i called UPS anyway just to verify the status of the package. UPS told me that based on what they have in their computer, it is IMPOSSIBLE that the package was ever shipped. tried to call Buyloud.com and emailed them and still waiting for a reply.
looks like a shady operation they are running and i would advise against dealing with them.

| Wow, sorry to hear about this Kanuck. I hope everything works out for you. Sounds like a good tip for all of us. Do not buy unless you can actually get ahold of someone. You could have canceled rather easy if you could just talk to a human. Good luck with it. Keep us posted. |

follow-up: after confronting them with their lies and threatening to report their activities, they sent me an email telling me they will issue a credit. i guess the guy got the message. after all, the one good thing about this email-only conversation is that i have everything documented with dates. combined with the UPS tracking showing that they never shipped, my case would have been pretty solid.
i'm undecided if i should report them to this agency:
