Hi All,
Any Bay Area members can recommend or share their experience with a installer (audio/video) in the Bay Area? I'm in Newark, very close to Race N Rock and Pacific Stereo, anyone have visited them before? I'm sure there would be more installers available in both SF and SJ, any ideas? Thanks.

Send a PM to 'amazent' on here. He just got a slick video install done in Oakland, but the name of the place alludes me.
He got window tinting done there too. |

| I just had a video install at Custom Auto on Hegenberger Road in Oakland. They were very professional and did a fanastic job. Even had them tint my windows. I can finally roll down my windows tomorrow after a week. Sure glad i have AC and a moonroof. |

| There are a few in the Bay Area, Race N Rock used to be owned by my favorite installer/owner, Danny was great he also used to own Precision Auto Stereo in Hayward but sold that and opened up Race N Rock and he also sold that, too bad, I've been lazy to finish up my Audio/Video install and I was thinking of having it done. I can not speak for the new Race N Rock owners though. You should really shop around. A good shop should show you around their shop, it should be clean and ask to see some of the installs they are working on, this will give you a good idea how they will treat your car. Ask for installation picss, they should have an album or two to show their craftsmanship. They should also be willing to work with you and they should be able to accomodate any system design you have in mind. Remember it's all in the installation. You can have a $ 10,000 system and it can still sound and look like a flea market system if it is not installed right. Ask a lot of questions and you need to feel comfortable with the salesperson and meet the installer. They need to map out how the system will be tied together and they need to come up with an installation theme so everything does not look like they were just thrown in together. Also if the audio shop has entered sound competitions and have trophys on display that might be a good indication of their skills. |
