| Actually, I was searching for a link to pass on to my sister-in-law, who wasn't as fortunate as the rest of us here to get an MDX. Or for that matter, not as fortunate to have a forum as cool as this one. |

| When test driving I thought the Highlander was a great vehicle. Good value and very smooth. If it had the 7 seats (probably requiring it to be a bit larger) then it would contend against the Pilot. |

| Nice vehicle, our 2nd choice. I still think they have some of the best rich colors, and nice finishes too. |

Good value?????!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think so, if you could buy a Highlander, why not add a thousand or two and buy the MDX????? the top model is 46000!!!!!! If you ask me I'll rather choose the MDX. |

We did the test drive of the Highlander two days before finally deciding on the MDX, overall size and comfort were the drives for choosing the MDX. I tried to find a forum for you, could only come up with this:

I have no idea what's beyond the initial sign-on page, but hopefully it helps. |

There probably is about 2,500 to 3,000 difference if you could compare 'similar' models. But Toyota will easily discount close to $3k off of msrp. Something to consider if you're talking value.....
Then again, I think everyone here will agree that we all made the right choice vs. any suv :D |

| Well, before I bought my X I went to see the Highlander too. The dealer said only 1K discount and still have to wait for 2 months :3: . Then we saw the MDX, sure theres no discount on it but it's worth it. Don't you think so???? |

Boy, what a bunch of touchy replies regarding the Highlander. Lighten up guys. Saying a few kind words about another vehicle doesn't diminish the MDX. Of course I also like the MDX. In fact I intend to buy a 2003 soon.
As to the Highlander offering good value, I was comparing the value of the regular 4WD Highlander to the Pilot. The Highlander is several thousands MSRP less than the Pilot. If you dicker you can also knock a bit more off that. I also thought the Pilot was pretty plain.
If the Highlander had 7 seats, then I'd take the 4WD Highlander over Pilot. Everybody on the forum, note I said Pilot and not the beloved MDX.
I agree that comparing the Highlander Limited to an MDX, you should pay a little extra and buy the MDX. Toyota tends to overprice options so that by the time you hit their top models, you are paying big time. |
