I don't think there's really a dupe IP alarm per se. The IP addy in a post can be checked. Determining whether chicken little is posting from the same IP as somebody else would require checking ALL the post IPs. Does that make sense? |

Makes sense. I was wondering if there was an automated stored procedure to reference the IP addresses located in the posting table with the IP addresses in the history table, thats all. I guess not. |

There very well could be...but only admin would have access to that. Besides, knowing would take all the fun out of guessing :) |

| I think the latest version of Vbulletin has an IP alarm that automagically keeps track of everyone's IP and compares it to "known" IP's from members. If they match an "alarm" goes off. I'm not sure if this is something that Mods can access or not. You are probably right though. It sounds like by default that would an Admin utility. I can think of one or two IP addresses you might want to check though. Just for fun... ;) |

That leaves me out ("reputable" members.) I did however think of Chicken Little when the transmission problem discussion started here a few weeks ago. That is an effective way to describe someone bringing up a non existing problem with the MDX. |
