Reception of Philadelphia stations (AM/FM) gets weaker as I travel North towards Princeton, NJ, and by the time I actually reach Princeton, I would have lost the signals completely. This happens on my Accura MDX 2001.

Is there a problem with the Antennae or radio per se?

However, I do not have this problem with my other car 2001 Honda Accord.

Any suggestions please?

The antenna has an amplifier built into the base, just to help with the fact that a dinky li'l antenna like that is 'way too short do do the job it's asked to do. I can pick up many of the local 100,000 watt FMs up to 60-80 miles away, but up there in the northeast, FM power isn't that high. AM reception is relatively cruddy, as it is on most cars these days.

There are several threads about radio reception on this site; do a SEARCH for "radio reception" or "antenna" similar items, and you'll have a chance to learn more than you wanted to hear!

I noticed that this is your first post. Welcome to our forum!
