Oh for the love... Just gotta love the new "sue happy" day and age. Just because 14 kids don't have a grasp of common sense, it causes millions of dollars to be spent updating these SUVs so GM doesn't lose any more millions from getting sued by parents who would much rather make a buck than tell their kids to keep their hands to themselves.

Pinched Fingers: This is a bonefied safety recall ... pinched fingers can really be painful.
Built-In Bumper Tester: An Acura TL/CL doing 75 on the freeway, automatically downshifting to 2nd, slowing down real fast with no brake lights to warn driver behind them ... now that is NOT a safety issue ... it is a bumper test = see how much damage the vehicle behind the TL/CL does to the TL/CL bumper as it rips the decelerating Acura a "new rear end".
Built-In VSC Tester: An Acura TL/CL doing 65 on the freeway in the middle of winter, slight snow coverage, automatically downshifting to 2nd ... now that is a fantastic test of a VSC system.

We've had MDXs do it too. But I swear, that is the scariest thing I've ever experienced on a road test. But no need for a recall...of course.
And VSA problems?!?! Whoa boy! I've had a CL Type-S with a bad yaw sensor that thought the car was about to spin even though it as actually totally in control going on a on ramp. It applied one of the wheel brakes to try to correct the supposed "spin" but in actuality almost caused the car to spin. Scary...

I had several discussions with people about imported cars and believe it or not every single posting by TheRobSJ remind me of those people.
IMO, most of these people are the ones who hate every thing related to competition with American Industry. I call them racist, because they have other issues with foreigners working in the US. These foreigners are most probably lowering the cost of food and other stuff in the US.
I remember one guy who started talking about how great the Ford Trucks are (!), till he started talking about why the hell are these damn foreign workers taking American Jobs!!!!
This guy didn’t even stop praising the Ford even after having a serious accident with his explorer about 3 years ago that almost cost him his leg. He still blame the tires “Firestone” because it was owned by “These ****** Japanese” Bridgstone.
So I believe that TheRobSJ is one of those people, just because he can’t overcome his prejudice, he has to find excuses for any mistakes by the American Automotive Industry and claim bad stuff about the Imported Automotive industry.
I assume that TheRobSJ has the same opinion about the German cars too!
Nobody is perfect, but if the Big 3 are making reliable cars, the Japanese Automakers couldn’t have found customers for their cars. I still remember people buying the Honda Accords when it had a lawnmower engine:D because it was so reliable, while my dad was still driving a Lincoln!
