Take this simple test and record your answer:
Think of a number between 1 and 10;
Multiply that number by 9;
if that is a 2-digit number, add the digits together;
Now subtract 5;
Determine which letter corresponds to your number (1=a, 2=b, 3=c, etc);
Think of a country that starts with that letter;
What is the last letter in that country's name;
Name an animal that begins with that letter;
What is the last letter in that animal's name;
Name a fruit that begins with that letter.
Post your fruit! |

| Orange....... weird! |
|
|
| msu79gt82 |
You guys are weird.
Studies have shown well over 90% will say Orange.
The next most popular answer will be Apple.
Other responses either can't do math or spell:rolleyes: ;)
If the why isn't figured out soon, I'll show you. But lets wait to see if any more play. |

Actually, the Tomato is a fruit too.
Are we terribly unimaginative or is there no other fruit that beings with O?
Maybe the "mind game" is showing how easy it is to fall into GROUP THINK. :2: :rolleyes: :D :8: |

But I do not see where the N and T comes from:confused: |

| They either came up with an exotic animal that starts with "K" or actually found another country that starts with "D" (then, of course, the animal will also be different) |

I came up with Komoto Dragon. Therefore the "N" translates into Nectarine. |

This proves that although we all may think somewhat alike, we are not all EXACTLY the same;)
That reminds me of a thread:rolleyes: |

I got orange too. I've seen variations of this. Good for parties, etc.
Hint: This is purely mathematical. You're all on a very narrow path...well, except for AcuraDoc. :D :D Kamodo Dragon?? Wow, never would have come up with that one, (but I like the way you think!). |

At least you spelled it right! Spell check didn't have any suggestions so I went with what sounded right phonetically. :D |

Thus the most common animal is the kangaroo with koala a distant second. Thus orange and apple are the top two picks.
I suppose our world travelers and/or those with enough worldly experience choose countries other than Denmark.;) |

Iguana-Apple?!?!?!
As a great man once said, "Doh!"
I've gotta come up with another "I" animal! There must be a way out of this conundrum...

Steve Wozniak had some animals running around his property in the hills of northern California.
If you know what Steve is famous for, and what animals he had, you will know a name was coined for fun.
HINT: It almost sounds like it could be the name of an eastern philosopher. |

There is Ibis (now, think of a fruit that starts with "S") |

A-ha!
Djbouti - Ibis - Star fruit!
Thanks, vip, now I can sleep!
Dreams of an Ibis munching on a star fruit along the coast of Djbouti. Now that's a dream worth psychoanalyzing!\...:2:

The Key is in the second line!
The digits of any number between 1 and 10 multiplied by nine also add up to nine.
Check out your 9x Table:
9
18
27
36
45
54
63
72
81
90
Thus, the answer will always be 4=d

I started this thread because the "quiz" illustrates just how alike MOST people think. Yes the math part always yields 4 (thus D), so if you miss that part you can't think:rolleyes:
Again MOST people will name Denmark, with the "K" at the end. Of course MOST people will then select Kangaroo with the "O" at the end, and then Orange as their Fruit. There are alternative answers of course. However I believe many of the alternative answers are from those purposely trying to be alternative/creative.
As a logic/tutorial in thinking I wonder how many who play the game honestly (i.e. do not purposely look for "unusual" examples) really do select less obvious answers?
It appears to me some of our players are "trying" to find unusual examples - olive as a fruit for instance. |

You are correct msu79gt82. I did come out with orange but tried hard not to. Good mind game. |
