Last year I purchased my wife an Acura MDX. It was chosen over the Lexus RX300 for the 3rd row of seats. Were we ever sorry. I believe Acura is sub-par quality, both vehicle and dealer/service. We dealt with quality problems from day one (the Thud, stereo replaced, crappy upolstery work, wind-noise, weeping mirrors, and various clinks, clanks, and squeaks) Around 25,000 miles, the check engine light illuminated. After a day at Acura - we were notified that the MDX required a new transmission. WOW! After replacing the transmission, Acura would not extend the transmission's warranty. Do they not trust their own parts and mechanics?
Last night I traded the MDX for a new Lexus RX300.
Good riddence MDX and Acura! You'll never see me again. |

We have an RX300 in addition to the MDX and I understand what he is saying. Still, I think he should've waited for the RX330. Had it this long, should wait just a few more months to get all the major improvements in the makeover. Big regrets in 7-8 months. Speaking in 3rd person because he's gone, right? Oh, well to each his own.
Uh, does this make it the 3rd or 4th remorseful buyer among the several thousand acuramdx members? |
