GM's Big SUVs Recalled for Pinched Fingers
Nearly 600,000 copies of GM's biggest SUVs are being recalled because the seats may lead users to pinch their fingers. Some 597,000 large GM SUVs have middle-row seats with gaps in the upholstery near the headrests; GM says 14 users trying to lower the headrests have pinched their fingers in the gaps. The company will install plastic shields over the openings to prevent injury, and will notify owners for the free repair. The vehicles involved in the recall are the 2000-2002 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon and Denali.
