| I just purchased a pre-owned 2001 MDX Touring w/Nav and couldn't be happier. I learned that the new 2003 versions feature an upgraded navagation system that is faster at processing and has new voice activated features. Do any of you know if these features are available through a software upgrade that someone with a 2001 like mine can have done? Thanks! |

There are several other threads on subject that address peoples thoughts. No one really knows the details, but there seems to be some input from dealers.
At best, you will get the software updates which may include more POis and improved recalc times (somewhat improved, if they can do it software). the 12 channel GPS (which is no a real big one IMO) would cost $$$$ to upgrade as would a hardware upgrade to speed processing (I would GUESS likely that 03 has faster processor).
I doubt the voice upgrade will be a cheap one, and I would put it in not likely, but that is a guess
Should know by end of the year or so.............. |
