Color is kind of a personal preference thing don't you think? If you want to know the percentage of each color owned by forum members click on the "previous polls" link in the upper left hand corner of the home page underneath the picture of the Silver MDX. |

GoFast_K,
I wanted a light color because I don't have the time to keep a dark color clean. Also, IMHO, besides black, the MDX looks best in lighter colors because of the size.
So....I looked at Silver, GG, and MesaBeige. I personally don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I have gotten compliments both on the vehicle and the color, but I would take Silver or GG in a heartbeat also.
Good luck! |

| Just my 2 cents--I about drove myself crazy trying to decide on the exterior color. Then, as has been suggested, I realized that the interior color was very important--it had to be saddle (kids and black leather don't mix well). So that narrowed it down. Then, believe it or not, I decided that I liked all the exterior colors available with saddle leather. When I called around looking for my MDX this flexibility made my life a whole lot easier. I ended up with Black. I must say that I am very happy with it; when it's clean it's the coolest thing going. It's just that keeping it clean is a challenge to say the least. Good luck. You really can't go wrong. Claire |

I like black and the GG colors, silver is also nice if you want to keep something clean. I didn't much care for the Beige (although that's the first color I originally chose) You don't see many of the burgundy color out there either. I chose black because most of my cars have been black, and when you deck it out, I think it looks the best, Didn't you see the SEMA car? That one rocks.
Just my 2 cents.

| I agree, make your interior color choice first. Once done, that will limit your exterior choices. I found the black interior to be overpowering (too dark inside for me) and went with the saddle. With the saddle the black, emerald green, and the mahogany contrast beautifully together. The choice is personal preference and what you have seen in person. I am very partial to the mahogany (maroonish-brown). When clean, which I haven't seen much this winter, the mahogany really stands out with the gold emblem kit in the rear. The tinted windows also make the look with the dark exterior colors. The mahogany MDX really turns a lot of heads. |
|
|
|
| First of all, let's me say Thank You for all the replies. I definitely want the Saddle interior which narrow down the exterior color choice to Black, Green, Beige and Mohagony. I am kind of undecided on Black or Beige. Right now I have ordered a Beige MDX and I am on the March waiting list. I need to find out from the dealer what is the time delay if I decided to change the color from Beige to Black. Thanks. |

Interesting to read the different reasons why people chose the color they do.
I ordered SS mainly because I've had dark colors, e.g., burgundy, emerald green and I remember the aggrivation (aaaargh!)I'd feel from having just washed the car and here comes a small drizzle just big enough to make the car look dirty all over again!
Secondly, I'm a leather guy and have always had beige/ivory/saddle interiors. The ebony interior is going to be something new for me.
There's also a school of thought that black, white, and silver cars have better re-sale.
Good luck in deciding. |
|
|
|
I have SS. I have always had white cars / SUVs so this was the closest thing.
I also HAD to have black leather, because I have always had saddle in ALL of my cars / SUVs before. Need a change, ya' know?
Silver / black.....such a beauty.
I have no patience to keep a black car clean.
I am a very clean person and it would give me a heart attack to see black just a little dirty.
If you have seen my other thread in regards to my first ding.....I thought the world was going to end.
I'm pretty bad with my cars.
That's just me.
Good luck !
All the colors rock & I have seen all of them personally.
Go..go...MDX !

| Let me be the first to chime in for Dark Emerald Green. It is awesome when all cleaned up - it has some shimmering metalic in it. It holds up to dirt a little better than black ( I have a black car - bad idea), but it still requires work. I think it is worth the effort. I find the lighter colors a little bland, unless you are willing to spruce them up with $$$ aftermarket wheels and chrome side steps. |

OK...must do the "mahogany speak". Beautiful in the CA sunshine and will look super with silver/chrome side steps. I'm a "white" freak...so this is different. However, mahogany is harder to get now because they featured it at the Auto Show down here and many who'd never seen it in person are switching their color preferences. But I agree with Conman that some of the lighter colors don't "pop"...with the possible exception of GG...which I also liked a lot...sans the black interior. I like black seats...but black carpet shows every speck of lint, etc. and drove me crazy in another car...plus, I have a white dog.
I can't wait to see this board when they offer Pearl White next year. :) |

Anyone interested in Mahogany make sure you see it in bright and dim light before ordering. Under the intense halogen spot lights at the Chicago auto show it looked sort of "prunish brown" and nothing like the pictures or color chips I've seen. Also, "Mesa Beige" is more of a gold and "Granite Green" is more of a grey. Sterling Silver, Nighthawk Black, and Emerald Green are the only colors that are true to their names. |

I have a Granite Green MDX. I particularly wanted the color to match my titanium watch! :D j/k
Kidding aside, I like the ebony interior. Like A4L, my past vehicles all had khaki/beige interiors (with gold/tan exteriors) so I had to make the switch. |

Acura4Life, did you somehow swap your car out? Read on. I had an unexpected call on yesterday that a SS Tour/Nav was available and that I wouldn't have to wait on my 3/10 build date. Since I just placed a deposit on 1/27, I knew this was too good to be true. I took off today to go inspect the car (ensuring buttons 4 & 5 work), drive it (listening for thuds) and if all went well, I'd take her home. Well, to make a long story longer:
(1) The dealer had placed his badging on the truck - "no biggie - we will peel it off".
(2) There was at least a 9 inch scratch on the rear bumper- "no biggie - it will buff out"
(3) THERE WAS A BIG OLE DING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE - "no biggie - we'll call the Dent Doctor".
(4) The leather on the 2nd row seat just behind the driver side was buckling right around the seatbelt -
I compared it to another MDX that was ready for pickup and it was buckling too, but not as bad. HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS BUCKLING? Considering I'm paying $40k, I don't think I'm being too picky.
Needless to say, I passed on it and will patiently wait another 4 weeks for a badge free, ding free, scratch free, buckled leather free MDX. |

You guys are all missing the point here. Since obviously you're having a hard time deciding on the color, why not let someone else decide!! Just tell your dealer, WHICHEVER color, be it black or beige, or any other on your list, comes in FIRST, that's the one you'll take!! EASY! You'll be happy more with the car in your driveway than worrying about what color to get while waiting for it...

My black isn't very hard to keep clean (granted in the winter, everyone's car looks like crap, except for the day you wash it)
But I wash mine once a week, sometimes once every two weeks and it still looks good, they're not as much trouble as people make them out to be.

I'm probably the last guy to advise on color choices...I always have buyers remorse and color remorse...but they always seem to fade. So, anyway, take this with a grain of salt...maybe some tequila too.
I have a Dark Emerald Green. One reason is the saddle interior...the ebony was a bit too dark for my taste. I've had dark gray interiors that I liked, but saddle or lighter interiors are my first choice...usually. That being said, I think that the Granite Green color on the MDX is the best overall choice. It's subtle at first glance, but does set off the lines well and captures the sheetmetal shadows very well. It changes color tones some given the amount of light on it and will not show dirt as easily as the darker colors. I think it fits this vehicle well and I would be willing to live with the dark interior in this color. Saddle interior with Granite Green might be a stretch...Parchment interior would be a good option, IMHO. I actually think that the Emerald Green would look good with Parchment or Pewter gray interior...there I go again. The previous posts contain the key...color choice is personal...agreement among all is never gonna happen. They are all good...in someone's eye. Good luck! |

LOVE MY BLACK (W/EBONY) MDX! :)
Somewhat harder to keep clean, but like dbastion says, people make it out to be harder than it is. And, if you've never seen a black one in person, you may have never noticed the deep blue metallic that's in the paint, you see it at certain angles, but it sparkles! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Black is SHARP!
Bottom line, as long as you're buying the MDX, you're fine! |
|
|
|
My wife and I ordered MesaBeige and we LOVE it! Looks sharp, is easy to keep clean and is a great match for the saddle interior. May have considered GG if the interior was sadle or a light grey.
|
|
|
|
| I first came to the dealer wanting either black or SS, had such a hard time deciding. One thing I wanted for sure was the Ebony interior (classier appearance IMO). Black interior may require wiping, and vaccuming more than the beige interior, but will stay cleaner and richer looking much longer. Dark stains build up over time on light carpet and more importantly - you know those little tiny creases that develop in your seat - they begin to collect dirt and look like little grey age lines from where you enter and exit the truck. Anyway, the dealer showed my an RL which matched the GG and I was in love. The color is much better than the website or catalog. Besides water spots arising from wash water in my driver side mirror the car stays amazingly clean. Sometimes it looks freshly washed and you can clearly see from the tinted rear glass that the car is really very dusty. The car stays cooler inside (the ebony doesn't really help here though) and is easier to take care of. I like many of Acuras color offerings but believe the GG to have the most depth and richness. |
|
|
|
Opinions aside, the right answer of course is Silver and Black ;). I was attracted to the technology behind the MDX, and IMHO the silver and black bring that out. The silver has the same hidden blues in it that the black does, and looks clean when I know it's not. The interior is more of a charcoal rather than true black, and, like the previous post mentioned, is darn classy looking - the saddle has too much of a 'cowboy' connotation for me.
Keeping the interior clean hasn't been a issue (and we have plenty of dirt opportunities), a couple quick swipes with an electostatic dust rag does the trick. Finally, (see, I should be doing my taxes now, this is more interesting) I haven't noticed the cabin being too warm because of the dark interior :)
The only downside to SS might be that it could be a common color choice for the MDX. Given that I've only seen 2 other MDXs on the road in 4 months (both beige), and don't think there is another one within 100 miles of here, I'm not sweating that one either.
OK, on to the 1040. |
|
|
|
Ghost, we have really warm summers here and I wanted the SS but was concerned about the Ebony interior holding a lot of heat. I was going to opt for something with a saddle interior until I came across this from a physics type website:
"If we look up the LRVs for the colors white and black, we find that white reflects 80% of visible sunlight, and black reflects only 5%. So we can conclude that, regardless of the color of the interior, the car with the darker paint job will have the higher temperature. Of course, leaving any car out in the sun for many hours will make driving it later an unpleasant experience."
I don't believe 100% of everything I read on the 'net but said what the heck. I ordered SS and hope to be happy.
|
|
|
|
MDX-Wannabe, believe me, you'll be happy! I'll bet the darkened windows around 3/4 of the car also prevent heat buildup, so the only real heat sink will be the dash below the windshield - if you're way south, maybe pick up one of those cardboard deals folks use in their windshields -tacky but effective.
Also, I've never had a moonroof before, but I figure in summer (we have many days over 70), opening the moonroof a bit while parked will do a lot for dissapating heat; most of the problem is probably due to the sealed up cabin.
P.S. Congrats on having the presence of mind to pass on that dinged-up MDX - your patience will be rewarded! |
|
|
|
Black w/ saddle.
If your willing to keep it clean you can't beat this combo. It is the "Classic" Luxo look and the MDX wears it well. I'm certain (my opinion) that this combo will do well at resale time. |
|
|
|
| Just when I thought the Granite Green was the most beautiful color fo the MDX realised that it was not available with a Saddle interior - may have to settle for either Black, MesaBeige or Mahogany :( |
|
|
|
Ghost,
I'm in Texas, so yes, I do feel the heat here. My office built a new facility and the biggest wish during
the planning stages was covered parking! We lost.
Indeed I was disappointed that I didn't get to drive off with a new baby but all things usually work out
in the end. Maybe interest rates will drop a little lower by then and my wait will be even more worthwhile.

Just have to throw my two cents in for my color of D E Pearl w Saddle interior. I had a small saddle pin stripe put on the outside by the Acura dealer...looks sharp. At first I wanted the Mahogany but at times in the sun it looked almost brown. So, my wife talked me into the D E Pearl....she called it golf green.
To be honest, it does show dirt fast, but not as fast as black. I had a silver Rivera before and it could go a long time without a wash job; however, it was a boring color....just MHO.
I think all of the colors look good on the MDX...just pick one...you can't lose.

If there was one thing that really disappointed me about the MDX, it was the lack of availability of white for 2001.
Living in CA, I appreciate light colored cars - the darker colors just get too hot, too fast in our summer sunshine.
Sadly, I'm in need of a car THIS year and can't wait until the pearl white becomes available in 2002. So - I have a preference list in place w/ the dealer. I know I sound like a whiner but I'd really love to have white! (Does anyone know yeta when they'll start shipping the 2002's? ;-)
Anyway, here are my thoughts on the colors in order of priority.
#1 - Silver (although not too thrilled about the ebony interior which really seems awfully dark)
#2 - Mesabeige. Sigh. Just can't get too excited about that either as my mom always drove tan metallic cars and the color just seems so "early 80's ford" to me.
#3 - GG. Pretty color. Same comment on ebony interior.
#4 - Burgundy w/ tan. (concerned about keeping it spotless)
#5 - Emerald w/tan. (ditto to #4)
I test drove a black and tan w/luxury/nav. It was beautiful and I could have bought it that day (guy who ordered it had walked)but hubby is just dead set against black cars. I've received calls from this same dealer re: availability of burgundy and GG drop outs too, PRIOR to the time that I decided to go ahead and buy the MDX instead of a Grand Cherokee Limited. Oh well. Timing is everything! |

I have always driven white cars and love them for lots of reasons. Number one being they stand out on the highway, and for safety reasons, white is easily seen by other drivers. The other reason is I love pearl white...especially that nice pearl white on the RX would do just fine :). My husband really doesn't care about the color...so we looked at all of them. Green is OK...if you like green. The mesa beige is ok...but we've got a retired community "RB" for short, and seems like every older person drives a gold colored car, so for us...that was out. Silver is nice...but common. Black is always a nice standard, but requires maintenance to look nice and tends to be a little warmer in the sunshine. The GG would have probably been my first choice if the interior was saddle (or lighter) but I'm not a fan of black interiors after having had several. We/I wound up with the mahogany. It looks nice in the sunshine. Some feel it has too much brown...personally, I don't really see it because SoCal is mainly sunny so it looks rich to me and I like the way the interior pulls it together. I plan to dress it up in accessories with most painted mahogany. Adding Side steps customized with powder coated silver...maybe. I'm also thinking about the gold package and what that might look like against the mahogany...but don't want it to look too flashy...so still up in the air on that one. But the mahogany has really started to grow on me and everytime I see one at the dealer (usually in for service in the back), I like it a little more. As far as keeping it clean? Should be lots easier than black but not as easy as GG..MB..SS. Depending on where you live in CA...we don't get as much grime...rain...etc...and most sleep in the garage! But...if you get a line on Pearl...with an ivory interior...let me know :D |

Thanks for being in agreement. Maybe the "white color request" is mostly a female thing but there are sure a lot of us, and I'm pretty sure we're the target demographic. (Gee - you think they might have asked?) Ah. Pearl white w/ camel interior and gold trim. Now THAT seems perfect to me.
I've seen the burgundy several times and agree that it's very pretty. I hope you enjoy it. I laughed when you detailed the real reason you weren't interested in Mesa Beige. That's my reason too!
On another note, it's interesting to note that so many people have "Build on" dates, yourself included. Our local dealer tells us they're working on allocation and can't order specific vehicles: instead you just go on a prioitized waiting list after paying a $500 deposit. Also, they're charging MSRP, and adding only wheel locks and rear mud guards to every MDX. Of course, so far, every MDX that they've called me on has both touring and navi.and the colors that keep popping in are burgundy and black. I've yet to see silver in person.

Liberty,
IMHO, you won't be disappointed once you see the silver. It looks very rich and the chrome door handles and rims look good with it. Also, the ebony interior is more charcoal than your average black interior. You sound reluctant but I'm sure that'll change once your's comes in. |
|
|
|
I agree, you're going to love the silver, Liberty, it's a great fit with this car.
BTW, anyone notice that the original poster made up his mind several pages ago, and is probably on to bigger and better threads. This has been a fun one! |

Personally, my choice would have been what I listed above, if available.
I am quite happy w/my black w/saddle. I have owned too many black/black vehicles. It is nice to have a large vehicle w/saddle interior, just brightens it up more (obviously).
Of course, my MDX is currently filthy and looks it, after the salt/sand treatment here a week ago after some snow. But nothing looks better than a clean black mdx.....imho

| Just got off the phone with my Acura rep who visited the Ontario assembly plant last week. While there, he saw a WHITE MDX being built. When he asked its destination, he was told: Japan! Obviously, Acura builds white vehicles, but doesn't make them available in N. America. The logic is probably as good as the one they use for not making Granite Green available in Canada, or black exterior available with ebony interior only! |

Pierre,
I lived in Japan for two years in the late 80's. At that time, somthing like 75% of all cars in Japan were white. It is very much their preferred color. It is no surprise that the white ones are targeted for that market.
I am curious - did the rep tell you what they are being called in Japan? |

:D Yippee! Apparently I'm next on "the list"! The only problem is that EVERY vehicle that my dealer calls me about as "available" is Mahogany. I'm okay with that, but Hubby (remember him - the fellow who only likes light colored cars) keeps turning them down! :p Ah well, at least I'm first on the list for a Silver!
Oh, and BTW, when I ask my dealer about the availability of white in 2002, they seem to know nothing.

| Hey Liberty :)...You're hurting me here. Is this 'surplus' in Mahogany/Tour/Nav...or is it missing one of those T/N components? Is this SoCal surplus in ...LA Area or SD area?? My dealer has come up with zip in our area...so...I wait. Mine was supposed to begin the 'birth' process today. You should go for the Mahogany. Since when are we supposed to listen to our husbands? Happy birthday to your new MDX! :D
As for an overabundance of your color of choisce in SoCal (we're talking N. of LA but not do far North that we start complaining about the Bay Area), you can feel a little better. It'll be worth your wait. My dealer will call and say they have a Mahogany w/ Navi one time, then a Maogany w/ touring the next. So far, none w/ ALL the bells and whistles.
And as for hubby..... what can I say. He's color blind, but I like to humor him occassionally and play along like he actually knows what color he's talking about.

Yea baby, go Mahogany! Just sound out the acronym: DMP. Has a nice ring to it. I mean just compare it to the choices: DEP, GGM, MBM, NBP, SSM. Seriously how can anything comepare to a DMP MDX.
Just kidding. I do like most of the colors, but we decided against the Ebony interior. Of the available choices we picked Mahogany. Can't really go wrong with any color however, in my opinion.
I would like to see a Metallic Pearl White offered. We got to see the new Lexus LS430 at the Houston Auto Show last month in that color, it was fabulous. |

If anyone is looking for black on black, I just got a call that there's one coming in. (Definitely NOT my color of choice for this part of the country, but Hey! to each his own!) Let me know if you want details and I'll tell you where to call.
Here I am still waiting for that silver!

| I am dying over this color thing. I read the post on the person who thought....what's the big deal...pick a color. I don't know why at 43 years old after having had numerous new cars, that this time I am having Soooooo much trouble. I think I will go with mesa beige, but personally, I would have preferred it to be more "gold-ish" and less tan-ish. The burgundy seems too brown. My husband wasn't crazy about the green. With three kids, the black is impossible. I have never liked silver cars....looks like primer to me. I think that GG is kinda bland. It sounds like I hate the car, but that's not true. The interior is a dream and I had a Legend at one time and it was a terrific car. Car-like, 7 passenger, 4WD and a great price...I can't wait to get this car. But the color.....hmmmm. |

debrockman,
My wife and I (it's actually HER car) bought the Mesa Beige and love it! Sure, it doesn't have the mirror-like shine of a black or other dark color but it is easier to keep looking like new and if you get the gold emblem package it adds a certain subtle highlight to the car that IOHO looks great! Good luck and remember, you will absolutely love it when you get regardless of color. :D:D:D

| debrockman: I gave a fairly detailed response to your color and Nav questions after your other post. Good Luck. |

| And...I'll have what msu79gt82 is having. |

dbrockman,
Don't go for the Mesa Beige you might lose sight of it in one of those Indiana wheat fields or get carjacked by rabid AARP'r. Go Mahogany and Illinois guys like me won't flash our brights as much to get you pokey Indiana drivers out of the left lane on I65.;) |
|
|
|
Alright, remery...
Wutyu got aginst cornfields anyway?
I picked the mesa beige because I really wanted the black/saddle combination with a gold emblem package and I just knew I would always have it so messy from the slop on the roads in Indiana that I would be sad all the time....
ordered mine today, in fact!
Can't wait....just wish it was black
Nobody from Illinois is EVER waiting on a Hoosier in any lane of I65. We're the fastest drivers in the world. We're all auditioning for the 500 |

| I drive a minivan....but about 80 miles per hour...I'm always late for carpool! |

|
|
| ... I just wish white was available..least maintenance...best looks...noblest color...the pure MDX! |

| I also had a heck of a time deciding on the color. I recently sold a black 735 BMW and told myself that while I loved the way it looked when clean, it sure was alot of work, particularly during pollen season. I ordered a granite green (due in April) then was told by my salesperson about a month ago that his manager had ordered three Premiums with Nav "by mistake" that were not sold and due about 3-24-01. Well, guess what color I'm ending up with. That's right - black. I'm actually excited about the "choice" now. |

Hey Psych Dr....
Black is beautiful. The one black MDX I saw was absolutely a head turner. When I look around on the street at cars driving around, I don't really notice that they look dirty unless they are parked. Enjoy the black. Truly, if I didn't have all these kids to haul, and if I weren't planning on keeping this car 7 years like I kept my Acura Legend, I would definitely get black. |

Thanks for the feedback. I have seen a couple of black MDXs in my area (Va. Beach/Chesapeake, VA) and they do indeed look sharp. |

psychdr,
I think you'll be glad to stay with the black. My original choice was the GG until I saw one dirty at the dealer. Dirty black has got to be better than dirty GG. Just my opinion since my Mahogany Touring/Nav just came in today . I had a burgundy Jeep GC that was about as dark and it was not that much of a problem. I also had a black Bimmer and it showed the dirt more than my black Eagle Talon. Point to this is black bimmers get dirtier than other black cars. Keep telling yourself that |

|
| Black is indeed beautiful, but.....it is the worst too. not only because it gets dirty quickly (especially in the Northwest with all of our rain) but because you can't take it through the car wash. Those things ruin black finishes. I chose the GG because I want to be able to take it through the car wash when it is a beautiful day but 36 degrees and I'll freeze my hands off if I do it myself. GG doesn't look great dirty but I can keep it clean easier. |

remery,
Are you out driving your new car? I'm jealous. I'm 2 1/2 months away from the conclusion of my Town and Country lease.
I order the mesa beige for practicality, but I agree with all of you folks who are ordering those richer colors.
But I'm trying not to covet...cuz it's a sin. |
|
|
|
debrockman,
It's only a sin if you covet the driver of the MDX not the color of the MDX itself unless you worship it as a false idol, then special papel dispensation is required at time of delivery.:D:D |
|
|
|
| I disagree. I don't WANT the driver....I want the CAR! That is still coveting, but when I pass you on the street in my blanched out MDX, I will smile, wave and sigh. |
|

|
Nuts!
My dealer just called. My sassy silver just came in but OOPS! it has the Touring Package on it (which I don't want)
And the wait continues..... :(

| All the colors are cool, but the Mahogany is really way cool. Mine should be here Monday. |
|
|
|
| I think the Mahogany looks classy. I like sportiness too, but I'm getting out of a sporty looking car to get my MDX...so we're going with classy looks. I do however want to add a pinstripe with the Acura logo under the side mirrors and also towards the back I want them to add MDX to the striping too. I think that would look sharp if I can find someonet to do that for me. Anyhow to each his own! |

ALL MDX COLORS are nice as long as you pick SSilver:D:D:D LOL.
From a Designer's stand point here's my $0.02. Millenium colors are Black, White(duh?)and Silver. Pick any of these colors if you like to be trendy, high-tech, distinct, solid(but fragile)and have a color that doesn't get old. MesaBeige which is almost Gold is most likely picked by people in the 40's and up, no offense, it was my second choice but was hoping it was more champagne color rather than gold. Additionally, the MesaBeige reflects a color of settlement, kind emotions and prevailing class. Granite green(mostly medium gray) is unique and ambitious, it's trendy but makes a cool statement, has the european feel, heavy duty look and industrial but elegant appearance. Mahogany has a very specific appeal and its audience are in that room where people drinks wine and listens to a classical piano player. I hope you consider your long term ownership when you pick this color (say 2 yrs from now) as I doubt it will last,IMHO. Dk Emerald green seems to be friendly to everyone although similar colors have been the choice of color for quite sometime now. It has the environmental look with an attitude. It's darkness makes it a bit different than others and makes it look classy and warm. Where's that metallic Blue?:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Remember, the color you pick reflects your personality and style. I think all the colors are very nice and stylish. Watch out for future MDX colors in Blue, White, Red/Burgundy and Light gold/champagne.

|
| Well, there you go...I am decidedly "uncool" and proud of it. It is almost a trademark for me. Mesa Beige is me. Current or "trendy" is not. But that black is sure pretty....I still say that silver looks like primer (to me) and black interior is a disaster with little kids and dirty boots. |

Lol classical music? Heck I'm only 25!!!! It's more like rock and alternitive music...I just am kinda bored with my sporty car and the MDX screams classy no matter what color. This is how we narrowed down what color to pick.
Emerald Green- we had a car that was that color and we had nothing but trouble (bad luck color for us)
Silver-I like it if I want a sporty look (was gonna get a silver grand prix gtp) but hubby hates silver says it looks like primer like Deb.
Mesabeige-reminds me of my grandparents or older folks (sorry guys!)
Granite Green-looks more grey to me
Black-looks sharp clean but is a pain in the butt to keep clean plus hubby hates black
and that leaves Mahogany...it's different it's sharp and it'll stand out in a crowd and not blend in! It has attitude which is what I want lol! No classical music and wine here...perhaps wine coolers and beer!!!!! LOL it was fun reading your post though MDXtasy...by the way hubby was hoping that they would've had at least a blue color..I love the color blue my car is now kinda like midnight blue which is cool. |

| I don't think so:rolleyes: But hey that image of refined culture is not so bad. I can live with it;) Actually we chose the interior color first. Both the wife and I preferred the saddle color. So then it was match the best exterior. Didn't want Emerald, Black, or Silver (had several in the past, including a current one, and wanted a change). That left the Mahogany which is exotic in a way. Under bright lights, a good sunny day, I think the Mahogany looks terrific. However under poor/dim light, dreary cloudy day, it shows a lot of brown. But overall an interesting color. |
