I was just outside using the snowblower.

I went for a VTM-4 run after I was done.
Of course there was not a soul on the road so I put her in 1st and locked in the VTM-4 and went for a spin. Gave her some gas too. NOT A PROBLEM !!!!!!

It was fun.:D
This car was like glue in about 6 inchs of snow.

THIS TRUCK RULES !!!!

Can't wait to get to the BLACKJACK & Craps tables in Atlantic City tomorrow after work. Feeling lucky !!!

The Moderator will be away for the weekend.
I'll catch you all when I get back with my story.

Hopefully I'll get some kick *ss mpg going down there.
It is about a 2 and 1/2 hour ride.

KOT !
:D
One of these days the engineering staff at American Honda better get their act together and offer a VTEC GS-R engine on a snowblower for the stuff we get here in Buffalo :)
Tim: LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p
NYC got its fair share of white sh*t yesterday as well.
I cannot say I enjoyed it too much. It took me 90 minutes to go 5 miles (usually take 15 minutes - city driving).

Had a very-near miss yesterday. In 2nd gear and VTM4 engaged, driving about 10 mph, started to slow down about 30' before the car in front of me that was already stopped at a stop sign. ABS engaged, but the car NEVER cared to slow down!!! (It happened on a One-Way street with cars parked on both sides) Miraculously, I squeezed between that car and a parked car with no more than 1/4 inch on each side. Wew!!! Almost neded a spare pair of pants. ;-(
Finally stopped almost even with the first car.

Could not help but draw parallels between MDX and Subaru Outback (my previous car). I can't say if Subaru would have stopped in that situation. Being almost 2 times lighter would probably help.

Echoing the sentiment voiced in WA state accident discussion thread, AWD, FWD, VTM, VSC, ABS or all other abbreviations will not help if mother Nature and the laws of Physics are against you.

On the other hand, I also had a problem with a rear wiper (read my post in Problems for more details).

Add to that burning Popcorn in the microwave yesterday and smoking the entire office and you can say that I had a really bad day yesterday. ;-(

vip9: That's too bad about the bad day.

Things will get better.
You did not bang up your beautiful MDX !!!

Just think about the spring coming to the Metro Area, the sunroof will be down, arm will be on the window sill, you can take a big breath of smog while you're driving .....LOL....kidding.....:p:D:p

Good weather is only 2 months away !!

Can't wait.
No more white ****(Censored by Acura4Life-LOL)
Had a similar episode. Going fairly slow in a mall parking lot into the main road at a small downward incline, a car was stopped in front of me about 20 feet. Going about 15 mph and with slush/melted snow in the ground, started sliding fairly straight towards the car. ABS going all the way down but car was not braking at all. Manage to swirve to the left and finally stopped just beside the other car(MDX unharmed). Again, laws of physics at work. Heavy object with momentum and low friction(traction) is gonna have a hard time to stop. I guess better tires might have helped(I have the Goodyears).
