Do any of you know which if any of the Alpine aftermarket changers will plug in to our head unit and let me use my steering wheel controls?

Also, do you know where the plug wire extension is buried ie. under the drivers seat.

I am fairly certain that this must be possible because it worked w/ my Legend.

Thanks MDXtrous it may get to that but.

With the Legend, there are a couple of series Alpine changers that just plug in to a cable already in the trunk. Just buy an adapter cable for $10+-. I suspect it is the same deal for the X, just a different series changer.

This person had the alpine for sale and it worked with the factory system. He may be able to give you model number etc. to help you find what you need.
