Help!

My 2003 MDX touring w/navi will arrive soon and I can't decide on the color just yet. I haven't really seen any midnight blue or sandstone on the streets so I'm having a hard time deciding on color.

My order right now is for sandstone only because orginally I ordered the mesa Beige, but I like the red rock and what I've seen in brochures for MBP. I want a color that has brilliance, luster and a deep rich tone that will show the mdx well. I think the MBP is closely similar to the Black tones and red rock really stands out well. If the sandstone is similar to the older mesa beige that seems a little less eciting to me.

I plan to accessorize and wax/clean often. I'm going to my dealer this weekend to drive a demo... new '03 and get excited all over again, so I would like to let them know if I want to change color choice since they have already given me a build date of 11/5

Any thoughts?

I would go with Midnight Blue Pearl since I like seeing this color on the TL/CL Type-S. Also, this color distinguishes the MDX from MDX of previous model years, i.e. MBP is a new color, thus, your MDX will instantly be recognized as a 2003.

The Redrock Pearl is nice too. Sandstone is not for me... Other colors of choice would be the Starlight Silver and maybe, the Sagebrush Pearl. If only the MDX came in a sort of pearly white, that would be the color of choice for me.

I got the sandstone (Pilot) because I have young children and don't have time to do a lot of detailing. If that weren't an issue...Redrock Pearl all the way!!:29:

Midnight Blue Pearl all the way!!!!!!! I have an Adriatic Blue Pearl Integra and I LOVE IT!!!! In fact, the reason I waited for the '03's is because I was hoping, praying, wishing that they would come out with a dark blue color....AND THEY DID!!! So, I'd get the MBP :)

I just brought home an 03 red rock and....it rocks! Have already received several compliments on the color.

My dealer tells me that darker colors will oxidize quicker than lighter colors, is this true?

Just how dark is the MBP? Does it show a brighter blue in daylight?
Since I'm looking at the saddle interior, which ones would match up better with the interior color?

I've noticed certain colors tend to make the MDX look bigger at times. I've noticed darker colors like mahogany and black add a touch of elegance to the overall look. Do you think MBP would do the same?

Redrock is hot as well, it would be great to see them side by side at a dealer, but so far you such luck.

The pics and color samples in the brochure and the pics on the web are really off base in correct color clarity. The Havasu Blue looks almost green on the web.

FYI, note: Since I kept the 2002 brochure and have the '03 one, I compared the color chips in both brochures and found the '03 color samples were darker (more dense), not as light as the '02. Also the '02 chips are sized bigger on the page.

I know you guys will not agree, but we absolutely love our light blue.

Did your Redrock arrive on time as scheduled?? I had a build date for Oct. 16-23 but haven't heard anything from the dealer yet. I am anxious.:3:

My production date was Oct. 20-24, but have been told slightly delayed (5-6 days) because of the strike on the West Coast and inability to get parts. Hopefully, I'll get the VIN Mon. or Tues., but my dealer did receive an 03 Redrock Touring w/RES yesterday that someone backed out of so he offered that to me. I chose to wait, but if you wanted to drive to Maryland you could probably get it. Tischer Acura in Laurel ask for TJ Terra.:D :2:

It actually arrived 2 weeks early. I was quoted a Nov 1 arrival date and was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call last week letting me know it was in. Total wait time from order day: 2 weeks. (although I actually didn't order it...they had one coming in configured exactly the way I wanted)
