I just noticed tonight while parking, that when I shift from drive to reverse I can hear a clicking noise. It just makes 1 click sound and only when going from drive to reverse. It doesn't do it when going from park to reverse or from reverse to drive. The MDX only has 780 mi. on it also. Is this normal?? Has anyone else experienced this issue before??
Thanks

After reading the link you posted, that may very well be what I am hearing. It's not really that big of a deal, but it is something different that I have noticed. Thanks for your help jonny!!

| De nada. My "brain" has tuned out the click -- I don't even hear it anymore. Once your brain has identified the sound as safe, you can put it in the background and stop noticing it. |

See if the clicking sound you are hearing occures as you apply the breaks.
The clicking sound you hear as you shift into reverse could very well be the brake pads shifting in the calipers.
If the clicking coincides with applying the brakes, it's the pads floating in the calipers.
I was told this is normal.
Marc.

:D Yea...I've heard that on Mine too. I checked with my Acura guys (I've been going to them for 10 years!) They assured me it was Normal...Just like the delay you get when you slide back into drive after in reverse....Not to worry....
