| I have noticed a few times that while going down hills if I take my foot off gas that I can feel the transmission shifting or hunting. My wife told me that her 00' Mitsubishi Eclipse had a feature that will hold the speed constant while coasting down hills. Does the MDX have such a feature or is the transmission just hunting for gear? I remember reading that it has grade logic but I thought that was for climbing hills. Gonna check my owners manual anyway but thought I would ask you guys anyways. |

| Grade logic works uphill + downhill. If your foot's off the gas and you're going downhill (but accelerating from gravity) it thinks you want to slow down, and kicks down a gear. |

I had the same thing happen to me the other day. I was going downhill and I took my foot off the gas, and it all of a sudden jerked. I don't know if it is a tranny problem, but I am bringing it in today to get it checked out.
Anybody else have similar problems?

I guess it depends on how severe a "jerk" you experienced. I occasionally feel the trans downshift on various grades, however, the severity of the shift was not unreasonable. IMHO. |
