We live in the Baltimore area and we paid $650/year for our 2003 X- we have Erie Insurance-if you're a decent driver they have GREAT rates~! their homeowner/renter rates are good too. Erie is so cheap b/c they don't advertise-all the $ stays in the company which helps keep our rates down. As for age- we are married and in the age group of 25-29.
good luck! |

| I realize insurance rates will vary because of the many factors mentioned on this thread, but is there a site that lists cars which are lowest cost to insure? That could be one factor in deciding my next vehicle. |

here in central jersey suburbs i am paying $1800 for full coverage on my 05 mdx and 05 odyssey. they both cost me almost the same 41k and 38k.
this is through geico. when i first moved here 6 years ago i was only paying $1000 for full coverage on both vehicles.
deductible is $1000 on both vehicles if i remember correctly.
no accidents and no speeding tickets over 6 years. married.
im almost sure i can do better through Liberty Mutual but when i looked into it, they didn't do anything online and I don't mind paying a little extra for some convenience. |

At least they didn't drop you...small consolation
Might see if you can get into a 'insurance pool' for poor risk drivers. Make sure it's one that works to help you improve your record, and get you lower rates over time.
I would talk to various independent agents and get quotes for this.
Beware of agents that will stick you in a 'pool' and forget about you. You want your record to improve, and get 'normal' insurance after a while.
Get married, that helps too! Just don't get married for insurance purposes, that's real high risk!!! :D
Best of luck! |

2 accidents and 2 tickets.... that's really tough. I doubt you'll be able to find something cheaper. How long have you been with Allstate? Your best bet is to stay with them until the 2 tickets get off your record (not sure the length, maybe 3 years?). When that happens then you'll have a better chance of shopping around. |

I have been with Allstate for 10 years. I tried Porogessive and their price is not cheaper than Allsate. My brother in law just bought a $38,000 05 Nissan Pathfinder. He is 10 years older than me. His insurance is only $940/a year with the same agent. Then again he only had 1 ticket. |
