Do some searches on this forum for recommendations, and also power ratings of the MDX outlets vs. power consumption of what you plug into the inverter. |

I have found that both known brands and no-names seem to fail at about the same rate. If you loo at them, many different brands seem to come from the same Asian manufacturers.
I have had the best luck with the 400/800 watt type.
If you are building it in, I would get a style that several companies sell so when (I mean if) (no, I mean when) it fails you can relace it without a bunch of new cutting and fitting. |

| I got the one from Tripp-Lite, 300W dual outlet with a on/off switch. Inexpensive and very compact. Got it for $45. |

Sams carries a 400W continuous/800W peak by MAXX for $28.76, a great deal on a solid unit.
